Damnation Plan unveils music video of ‘To The Sun’ from the just released new album

Finnish melancholic progressive metallers Damnation Plan releases the third music video ‘To The Sun’ from their just released new album ‘The New Horizon’.

Watch To The Sun music video here:

The music video’s been directed by the band’s drummer / songwriter / lyricist / producer Jarkko Lunnas. Jarkko comments on the song and the video:

“The last of the trilogy of music videos we shot in Iceland for this album. Thematically To The Sun is about humanity’s longing and desire to achieve and reach something grandiose. We have a desire to find a place and a meaning for our existence. It might be even so we have to leave our planet one day in our need to re-discover that meaning again. The song is also a kind of a continuation to the storyline of our last album Reality Illusion’s ending track ‘The Final Destination’ – taking you to the very moment when it’s time to abandon our planet in the endeavour to secure continuation for our species.”

The band has strong origins and base in traditional heavy metal and in 90’s progressive metal. On the new album this is now even more present as the band’s earlier trademark mixture of harsh and clean vocals are now replaced by featuring only clean vocals.

The New Horizon album’s cover art showcases the album’s overall thematic aspect and dark tones:
“The album cover art depicts dark times as a darkened globe, a global shift, a division. A new horizon that sets the stage for our future. Is the shift going to bring us to extinction or simply be the change we need for a better renewed beginning? A lot of how that unfolds is written in our behavioral traits that we pass on, and maybe learn from our past, which also a lot of this album’s lyrics deal with.”

  • Bang Camaro returns to get fists up and heads banging once again on BANG CAMARO III

Bang Camaro returns to get fists up and heads banging once again on BANG CAMARO III

After a decade of dormancy, Bang Camaro, once called Boston’s Biggest Rock Band, returns to get fists up and heads banging once again on BANG CAMARO III. LISTEN HERE.

With face-melting guitar solos and a wall of gang vocals, Bang Camaro blasted onto the Boston music scene in 2005 as a reaction to the early aughts nostalgia for post-punk / new wave music. If bands like The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Interpol were going to wax nostalgic about bands like Joy Division, Bang Camaro was spawned to fill the void left by groups like Def Leppard and Skid Row.

Quickly boosted by their inimitable performances – complete with approximately 20 lead vocalists to bring their signature sound to life without backing tracks, leading to one apt description of their sound as “Headbangers Ball meets The Polyphonic Spree” – and inclusion in the widely popular rhythm games Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Bang Camaro hit the road.

They toured the US and Canada for five straight years, appearing at festivals such as Lollapalooza and Summerfest. The relentless touring, coupled with the releases of their debut self-titled album in 2007 and 2009’s follow-up, Bang Camaro II, and appearances on national television shows like Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and MTV Spring Break, continued to attract fans, including stars Jimmy Fallon (who joined them on stage for a legendary performance at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom) and James Gunn.

The latter would serve as the catalyst for the band to reunite a decade after their last show when he selected “Push Push (Lady Lightning)” to be prominently featured in a trailer and episode of the HBO series, Peacemaker. The surprise request, and the positive reaction from the show’s audience, inspired guitarists Bryn Bennett and Alejandro Necochea, and bassist Dave “Doz” Riley, to start making music together again.

The result is a collection of new songs reminiscent of their earlier work while continuing to push the limit of what the world’s only gang-vocal-based metal band has done before.

Bang Camaro III is now available wherever you stream music.

  • GO AHEAD AND DIE will deliver sophomore album Unhealthy Mechanisms on October 20th via Nuclear Blast Records

GO AHEAD AND DIE will deliver sophomore album Unhealthy Mechanisms on October 20th via Nuclear Blast Records

RELEASE ANIMATED VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE ‘DESERT CARNAGE’

Arizona death-crusters GO AHEAD AND DIE will deliver their caustic sophomore album Unhealthy Mechanisms on October 20th via Nuclear Blast Records. A torrential whirlwind born from the livid minds of Igor Amadeus Cavalera (HEALING MAGIC) and Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY). This new installment to the band’s dystopian catalog is a fresh dive into the madness of society and the pollution that ravages our minds.

Desert Carnage‘ is the pummeling opener to Unhealthy Mechanisms. Brainchild of Igor Amadeus Cavalera, this track takes listeners on a fiery journey through an apocalyptic desert inspired by their home state of Arizona. Check out the frantic single that encompasses some of Igor’s best riffs on the album.

Igor Amadeus Cavalera comments, “‘Desert Carnage‘ is a blistering fast song that is as scorching hot as the Sonoran desert itself. The barbaric theme of the song stems from the cruelness and inhospitable terrain of the desert, as desolate and unkind as a place can be.”

Stream the new single ‘Desert Carnage‘, here:

Unhealthy Mechanisms was produced by Igor Amadeus Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the recording in his Platinum Underground Studio steeped in the mystic ambiance of the Superstition Mountains’ foothills. The mixing and mastering were once again handled by Arthur Rizk (CAVALERA, SOULFLY, TURNSTILE ). For the artwork, the band enlisted Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design to create the unnerving design that fits with the album title. GO AHEAD AND DIE‘s newest record is a testament to declining mental health around the world, and a reminder that we are not alone in our pain. The mind is lost. The fuse is lit. Time to set everything ablaze.

Unhealthy Mechanisms will be available digitally and in the following formats:

    • CD Jewel
    • Red Cassette (Limited to 400)
    • Vinyl
      • Red W. Black Splatter
      • White W. Black Splatter

  • AMORPHIS Releases “Wrong Direction” Video From Upcoming Queen Of Time (Live At Tavastia 2021) Offering

AMORPHIS Releases “Wrong Direction” Video From Upcoming Queen Of Time (Live At Tavastia 2021) Offering

Finnish melancholic dark metal legends AMORPHIS unveil the second digital single taken from their upcoming live album Queen Of Time (Live At Tavastia 2021) which is set to be released on October 13th via Atomic Fire – just in time to celebrate the Halo European Tour 2023!

Guitarist Esa Holopainen comments, “We shot a video for the song once back in the day when the Queen Of Time album was released originally. An interesting anecdote is that Tomi Joutsen and Pekka Kainulainen [known as the band’s lyricist] both travelled to Norwegian Lapland to film the landscape shots. But in the end you could only see Pekka in the video. Poor Tomi had to travel and to spend a couple of days in Norway for nothing. The very nice video was directed by Sentenced drummer Vesa Ranta, but you can now also witness the live version of the track and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

In 2021, one of the years of the corona pandemic, when the music world was forced into a standstill, AMORPHIS played two streaming concerts at the legendary Tavastia Club in Helsinki, Finland.

Keyboardist Santeri “Sande” Kallio recalls, “Firstly I thought it would feel like a long soundcheck, but quite contrary it felt pretty close to a real concert. Of course, the band had to take the energy boost only from each other’s playing and rely on the feelings what the songs bring in. Obviously, there was zero support nor energy help from an audience’s side. Everybody probably agrees that nothing beats performing in front of a live audience, but I think we survived extremely well. One of the good sides was that everybody had to just concentrate on the music and playing 100% thus it simply was a one-shot chance.”

Queen Of Time (Live At Tavastia 2021) will be released in the following formats:

    – digipak CD + Blu-ray (EU)

    – jewel case CD + Blu-ray (US)

    – 2xLP in gatefold (Green Marbled)

    – 2xLP in gatefold (Red Marbled; exclusively available at Atomic Fire Records)

  • DREAMWHEEL To Release Redeemer EP On Nefarious Industries In November

DREAMWHEEL To Release Redeemer EP On Nefarious Industries In November

    Video For Title Track Premiered

Nefarious Industries confirms the November release of Redeemer, the debut EP from European duo DREAMWHEEL, today issuing the record’s cover art, track listing, and preorders.

A floating tapestry of dripping arpeggios, soaring choruses, and driving rhythms come together in DREAMWHEEL, a new rock duo composed of long-time musical acquaintances and Europe-based artists Evan Linger (Skeletonwitch, Cultist) and Julia Gaeta (Madrigal, ex-Albez Duz, ex-Restless Ghosts, Light Of The Morning Star-live). During the chaotic introspection of the pandemic, the pair bonded over their American roots and mutual love of big ‘80s choruses, murky shoegaze, and indie rock.

DREAMWHEEL quickly unleashed a stream of sound fit for the times: Gaeta’s whimsical yet ever-present vocals swirl amidst Linger’s urgent guitars, resulting in a singular blend that draws from the ethereal loneliness of shoegaze, the romantic hooks of new wave and the cathartic attack of post-punk.

Although both Linger and Gaeta cut their teeth in the metal and punk scenes, DREAMWHEEL showcases their lighter touch – but one that’s no less potent. The duo has so far released two demo tracks on cassette, “Wild Days” and “Chain Of Fear,” which gathered attention from Decibel, Post-Punk, and fans of bands like DIIV, The Chameleons, and Siouxsie And The Banshees.

DREAMWHEEL is now set to release its first EP, Redeemer, the record exploring themes such as personal nostalgia, melancholy, buried memories, and the paradoxes of religious upbringing. With Julia Gaeta performing all vocals, and the guitars, bass, piano, and synth performed by Evan Linger, the duo is joined by James Stewart who provides drums, and Tom Zwanzger who provides additional percussion and sounds.

Redeemer was tracked by Torben Utecht in Berlin, Germany and Tom Zwanzger at Stress Studios in Graz, Austria, the latter also handling mixing duties, and the mastering was handled byJaime Gomez Arellano at Orgone Studios in Porto, Portugal. The EP’s art was handled by Nyle Rosenbaum featuring model Anahita Saifollahi, photography by Emma Matsuda, and layout/design by Joe Spagnuolo.

The band discloses with the premiere of the title track, “‘Redeemer’ is about being your own savior. It’s about a young girl who turns away from stifling ideologies, and who is then seen as the difficult or rebellious one. It’s a little bit of a coming-of-age tale, but also very much about a thrilling realization. Nyle Rosenbaum did our video and we think he captured the fever dream of having that type of epiphany during your youth.”

Decibel writes with the video’s premiere, “The pair got together during the pandemic and bonded over their American roots and love of big ‘80s choruses, shoegaze, and indie rock. Decibel premiered the earliest material and is excited to share the debut video for their new song, ‘Redeemer,’ from their pending eponymous EP. The song is both sad and sugary sweet with a Cocteau Twins/Chameleons vibe. It won’t please the neckbeard crowd, but those with good taste will dig it.”

Redeemer will be released on limited edition 12″ Black Vinyl cut at 45rpm and all digital providers on November 10th. Find preorders/presaves and merch HERE.

    Redeemer Track Listing:

    1. Redeemer

    2. Chain Of Fear

    3. Promised Land

    4. Bayou Rouge

  • Trick Casket’s latest single, the anger-fueled “Filth”

Trick Casket’s latest single, the anger-fueled “Filth”

Formed in 2017 by vocalist Connor Grant, Trick Casket found its birth in the depths of Toronto’s industrial-metal scene during an arduous journey of emotional turmoil and darkness. A thunderous storm of industrial metal, Trick Casket’s sound channels the spirit of legendary acts like Ministry and 3Teeth while paying homage to their key influences, including Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Korn, and Suicide Commando. With this formidable musical arsenal, they have carved a unique niche in the genre. Their latest single, the anger-fueled “Filth” marks a new chapter for the band, as they explain:

“The song is about a betrayal. Seeing just who someone truly is underneath. But am I talking about someone who did me wrong? Or is it all self-reflection realising you aren’t who you thought you were? You choose. At the heart of Trick Casket’s music lies a compelling narrative, delving into the struggles of depression, anxiety, anger, and frustration. Their lyrics serve as a cathartic release, resonating with listeners who find solace and strength in their powerful melodies.”

When it comes to the single cover Grant says that it was born from his love of juxtaposition and abstract images that can tell any story you want. Musically, “Filth” is this brutal, slamming industrial metal banger, but the artwork is a woman’s hand clasping vines. He loved the unsettling beauty in that and how we all have to get our hands dirty, and the things we hold close that we think are beautiful might just be dead vines in the end.

The idea for Trick Casket came from a cocktail of everything Grant loves: heavy music, horror, and theatre. He wanted to fully become who he felt like he was on the inside and at the same time, create a release for others. Trick Casket wants people to party, enjoy themselves, forget whatever stress and pain they’re pushing through, and just let their souls go. They are recommended for fans of Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, and 3TEETH.

  • Rocky’s Pride and Joy’s debut album “All the Colours of Darkness” scheduled for 29 September

Rocky’s Pride and Joy’s debut album “All the Colours of Darkness” scheduled for 29 September

Electric Valley Records presents heavy riffers Rocky’s Pride and Joy’s debut album, All the Colours of Darkness, scheduled for 29 September on vinyl (three different variants) and digital.

Rocky’s Pride and Joy began in a cursed railway cottage in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia, in mid-2020. Unexplained appearances of handprints, falling candles, disquieting sounds in the night, and vivid dreams of a tortured previous tenant haunted the residence for 12 months while the band wrote their first collection of songs, including “Crawl” and “Times Up.”

With a friendship formed between vocalist/guitarist Brenton Wilson, drummer Jessi Tilbrook, and bassist Dominic Ventra at Jessi’s rock ‘n roll club night, the trio’s unbridled love for doom and fuzz led them to explore their collective vision and bring their first live performance to life at the end of 2020.

Now, in 2023, after a slew of live shows, the release of “Times Up” and “Future Self,” and months of writing and recording, Rocky’s Pride and Joy is ready with their debut full-length, All the Colours of Darkness. The group from down under continued their exploration of the dark side of life on this eight-track LP, filled with tales of occult rituals, parasites, paranormal encounters, and cold hard revenge. Through nasty, fuzz-saturated riffs, heavy pounding drums, and window-rattling bass, Rocky’s Pride and Joy are putting their stamp on doom.

Who is Rocky? What is their Pride & Joy? These questions remain a mystery, guarded secrets kept by the band. Perhaps one day they will divulge, but all you need to know right now is that they are here to put their mark on Doom.

Rocky’s Pride and Joy has recently been selected as one of the five nominees in the Rock/Heavy Metal category for the National Live Music Awards in Australia.

Lorna Shore drops new video for “Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer”

Hot off their North American trek supporting Mastodon and Gojira, Lorna Shore is now giving fans a new video for “Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer” – the opening track from 2022’s groundbreaking Pain Remains. Directed/edited by Eric Richter (www.EricRichterFilms.com) and produced by Paul Henon//Midvessel, watch “Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer” here: https://lornashorestore.com/

Adam De Micco (guitar) comments: “‘Welcome Back O’ Sleeping Dreamer’ is a song that we feel deserves as much of the light as any other song on ‘Pain Remains’. It was a pivotal song in the writing process – it was the song to get the momentum going for the rest of the record. It was the song that we had the most enjoyment writing and I think to this day is probably one of our favorite songs on the record. It’s as dark as it is light and it’s as intense while not being overbearing. It has become the closest thing to balance as far as our songs are concerned. It is also a song that encapsulates a lot of who we are as a band while being unique from the rest of the songs on ‘Pain Remains’.

“Working with Eric was something that we have been wanting to do for some time now. He has always been someone we would reference or were inspired by so it only made sense to do a video with him. It was also a unique experience for us this time because we were in the trenches with him making decisions on everything regarding the video. As an artist you want to see your vision come to light and working with Eric this way, we were able to bring that vision forward.”

To coincide with this video launch, new “Welcome Back, O’ Sleeping Dreamer”-themed merch, two exclusive Halloween designs and more are also available now at: https://lornashorestore.com/

Lorna Shore will be returning to Europe this November/December for a headlining tour, featuring Rivers of Nihil, Ingested, and Distant as support. See below for all dates; tickets can be purchased at: https://lnk.to/THEPAINREMAINS-EUROPE23

    Loveless Share New Single “Picasso”

Los Angeles rock duo, Loveless, comprised of vocalist/producer Julian Comeau and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail, have unveiled their latest single “Picasso.” The track follows the success of their recent offerings “Drag Me Down” and “I Hope I’m Not Sick” which have amassed 3.8M+ streams globally, and saw the band receive support from KROQ, Sirius XM AltNation, and BBC Radio One.

“‘Picasso is a dance rock anthem for the anxious artist in all of us,” shares Comeau. “Regardless of how or what you create, it’s about feeling your creativity slipping away, and about being torn between two juxtaposed versions of one’s self. It’s the battle between who you are versus who you wish you could be.”

    ABOUT LOVELESS

Loveless first met in 2019 and released their debut single “Better” in April 2020 just as COVID lockdown restrictions began to go into full force. The limitations prevented any touring plans and found Loveless embracing social media to connect with fans globally.

The pair began to find success posting thrilling covers online entering the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart at #2 with their version of Elley Duhé’s “MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT,” garnering attention from Lizzo with their spin on “About Damn Time,” and going viral with their emo/pop-punk version of Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever,” to name a few.

Loveless have built an astonishing community online with 2M TikTok followers, 2M Spotify monthly listeners, over 260k YouTube subscribers, 5M monthly streams on Pandora, and over 308k+ followers on Instagram
