Dope have spent the last 25 years delivering their uncompromising message to the masses. Through their six previous studio albums, the band has never pulled punches with their music or their message. The band made a name for themselves around New York City and eventually signed with Epic Records for their debut. The sophomeore album Life spawned the track “Die MF Die” which has become a staple in basic training and garnered the band a dedicated military following from that introduction. The band has also found mainstream success through their inclusion in various movie soundtracks and wrestling integrations specifically with the WWE. At a time when music trends changed, Dope continued to maintain their relevance with their audience through direct fan correspondence. This relationship garners Dope approximately 1.7 million monthly listeners, puts them in the top 1% of all streaming artists and a dedicated following that most people are unaware of to this day. As the band gets ready to launch in to the next 25 years of their career with Blood Money Part Zer0, the world needs the brutal honesty that Edsel and Dope have come to be known for.

With the success of their last release Project Regeneration: Vol 1 and on the heels of their recent multiple city sold-out Rise Of The Machine tour, Static-X have reinvigorated their fan base and brought Evil Disco back to the masses. The original lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay backed by frontman Xer0 have proven that Static-X is back and better than ever. The Rise Of The Machine tour sold out 37 of its 42 dates, while showcasing the largest stage production that Static-X has ever put together. The band promises that the production on The Truth Killer Tour is going to be even bigger and more impressive this time around. Continuing to create new music, Static-X announced Project Regeneration: Vol 2 and released the first single from that album – a cover of the Nine Inch Nails classic “Terrible Lie.” The upcoming album is produced by the band’s current vocalist/guitarist Xer0 and mixed/mastered by long-time collaborator Ulrich Wild. The new album is now available for pre-order in various configurations including limited color vinyl, limited shirts, hoodies and more. The pre-order for Project Regeneration: Vol. 2 can be found here: http://www.static-x.com/.

About Static-X

One of the genre-defining bands of the late 90s, Static-X was founded in Los Angeles CA in 1994 by lead vocalist/guitarist Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay. The band lineup was rounded out by bassist Tony Campos and guitarist/programmer Koichi Fukuda, who collectively inked a deal with Warner Bros records.

Static-X rose to fame with their 1999 platinum selling debut album Wisconsin Death Trip and went on to release five more albums over the course of the next decade: Machine in 2001, Shadow Zone in 2003, Start A War in 2005, Cannibal in 2007, and Cult Of Static in 2009. The band has sold more than 3-million albums in the US alone and has had multiple chart-topping radio singles. They have toured the world extensively, and to this day, maintain a reputation for being one of the best live acts in heavy music. In 2012, the band took a break to pursue outside creative interests and on Nov. 1, 2014 Wayne Static unexpectedly passed away. In 2018, the band announced that they were reforming to celebrate Wayne Static, and in 2019 embarked on a world tour to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their debut album. The reformed lineup of original members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jay and backed by frontman Xer0 delivered acclaimed performances by fans and critics alike. The tour was a massive success, with sold-out shows around the world , proving that Static-X fans remain as committed to the band as ever before. The revitalized Static-X continue to make headlines with their sold-out touring and new music while keeping their signature Evil Disco sound alive.

With excitement brewing after the release of the tracks “Fence” and “Everything,” GRAMMY® Award-nominated Sevendust – Lajon Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose – will release their 14th studio album Truth Killer on July 28th  via Napalm Records. From the introspective opening of “I Might Let The Devil Win” to the classic Sevendust sound of “Fence,” the twelve songs on Truth Killer demonstrate that the band sounds as relevant today as they did on their 1997 self-titled debut. “Truth Killer,” “No Revolution” and “Holy Water” combine elements of the classic Sevendust sound with modern updates, pointing their lyrical lens at the world today and showcases the musical diversity that has won the band a legion of loyal fans. Producer, friend and collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette returns to produce Truth Killer which is available for pre-order in multiple configurations here: http://lnk.to/Sevendust-TruthKiller. With a reputation as being one of the best live bands and recently making headlines as the band you “don’t ever, ever, ever want to go on after,” Sevendust will join friends Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH for a run this August before heading out on The Machine Killer Tour.

About Sevendust:

Sevendust never follow a linear path. Instead, they continue to bulldoze a lane of their own with a proven one-two punch of rumbling grooves, unpredictable riffing, and stirringly soulful vocals unlike anything else in hard rock. As a result, their music connects straight to the heart as evidenced by their full-contact live shows and diehard “family” of fans. It’s why they’ve been around since 1994, tallied global sales of seven million, logged three gold-selling albums, delivered three Top 15 debuts on the Billboard 200, and garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Metal Performance. 2021 saw them deliver one of the most-acclaimed albums of their career – their thirteenth studio masterpiece – Blood & Stone, which Metal Hammer christened “Sevendust’s best work in years.” However, the Atlanta quintet—Lajon Witherspoon [lead vocals], Clint Lowery [lead guitar, backing vocals], John Connolly [rhythm guitar, backing vocals], Vince Hornsby [bass], and Morgan Rose [drums]—defy expectations yet again on their fourteenth full-length and debut for Napalm Records, Truth Killer, produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette [Alter Bridge, Trivium, Slash]. Ultimately, Truth Killer reaffirms there’s only one Sevendust—and they’re here forever.

Metal Mainstays DOPE Release Punishing Music Video For Track “No Respect”

Just over a month after releasing their first official music video for the song “Believe”  (feat. Drama Club, New York City electro metal heads Dope are back with another incredible piece of visual content – this time for their song “No Respect.” The cinematic visual for “No Respect” is a punishing piece that is reminiscent of some of the most-memorable scenes ever caught on film.

Taking pages from Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs or Eli Roth’s Hostel series, the cinematic inspired video depicts a violent interrogation taking place inside of an old garage, which ultimately ends in a fiery conclusion. The scene unfolds as the band performs the nitro-fueled song and Edsel lyrically proclaims: “You get what you deserve And in the end you’ll burn.” The teeth-excising/finger-removing villain is played by Derron Ross – acclaimed Hollywood stuntman and video game visual effects supervisor. Ross has worked on Deadpool, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Apex Legends and Bloodshot to name a few credits. The visually captivating video was directed by Edsel Dope / Co Directed by Matt Zane and can be seen here:

“It’s funny. Most people watching the video will assume that Derron is playing the role of a villain, but he’s actually playing the hero,”  Says Edsel.  “The guy that we set on fire was guilty of some deplorable shit. In the end,  he got what he deserved.”

Blood Money Part Zer0 is the band’s first release in 7 years and is the follow up to 2016’s highly successful Blood Money Part 1, which debuted at #27 on the Billboard top 200, selling over 15K units in its first week. Dope has sold more than a million combined albums and have amassed an incredible audience of nearly 2-million monthly listeners on Spotify, while racking up more than 100 million plays on their cult classic “Die MF Die.” In a move to demonstrate the bands sincere appreciation to their loyal fanbase for more than 2 decades, the band is giving away Blood Money Part Zer0 for FREE digitally. Dope recently released an introspective infomercial, which doubled as a behind the scenes look into the real life of Edsel, his private life, and his many ventures outside of Dope. A very private person, virtually inactive on social media, Edsel is intentionally secretive about what he does with his time between records and tours. This video serves as a direct message to the fans, inviting them to see behind the curtain of the mysterious man, who’s creativity they have supported for years. In the end, the video is ultimately an introduction to Blood Money Part Zer0 and will feature teaser clips from the upcoming music videos for “Believe” and “No Respect,” but is also so much more.

Electro Metal Pioneers DOPE Release Video for “Believe” (feat. Drama Club)

Coming on the heels of the announcement of their seventh studio album Blood Money Part Zer0 being released on February 24, 2023; New York City electro metal pioneers Dope have unveiled their first music video for the track “Believe” (feat. Drama Club). The video was directed by Edsel & Co Directed by Matt Zane. The video for “Believe” (feat. Drama Club) can be seen here:

The video stars Fivel Stewart, who is best known for her work in the acclaimed series “Atypical” and recently in the Sam Raimi produced/Sandra Oh starring horror film “Umma.” The clip co-stars Johnnie Guilbert, a solo acoustic artist who has amassed over a million followers on multiple platforms. The video follows Fivel and Johnnie on a psychedelic journey into the desert and beyond, while the band powers through their performance during a snowstorm. The energy of the song is very dark, but ultimately, it resolves to help the listener to find peace.  Edsel delivers the lyrics of: “We live and learn, die and burn, so in the end. I believe in love, cause that’s where it all begins.“

The song “Believe” was originally a demo from Edsel’s previously anonymous side project titled Drama Club, which exploded onto the scene in 2014. Drama Club toured the world with Black Veil Brides, Falling in Reverse and also appeared on the entire Warped Tour of 2015. The video for the track also features some of the final creative efforts of Amie Harwick aka Amie Nichole, who worked as both choreographer and a dancer in the video. Amie was a long-time friend of the band and tragically passed away after the filming commenced.

“I am so grateful to the fans who have supported me and this band,” says Edsel. “I appreciate your patience and the trusting relationship that we have built together. I never half ass anything, and  believe that anything worth doing, is worth doing right, so sometimes it takes longer than expected. I’ve come to learn that the time between releases only makes our connection stronger and the bond between this band and our fans is unbreakable. I truly love you all!”

Blood Money Part Zer0 is the band’s first release in 7 years and is the follow up to 2016’s highly successful Blood Money Part 1, which debuted at #27 on the Billboard top 200, selling over 15K units in its first week. Dope has sold more than a million combined albums and have amassed an incredible audience of nearly 2-million monthly listeners on Spotify, while racking up more than 100 million plays on their cult classic “Die MF Die.”

To coincide with the announcement of Blood Money Part Zer0, Dope is giving away two doses of new music. The songs “Believe” and “No Respect” are now available via all streaming partners as well on the band’s website. Fans that sign up for the free full-length download of Blood Monet Part Zer0 will receive instant downloads of the songs. “Believe” displays the bands commitment to their industrial / electronic roots, while incorporating chunky guitar riffs over driving drumbeats, as Edsel delivers a melodic a war cry of love, loss, and growth. “No Respect” is a brutal banger that showcases the band’s technical capabilities & refined musicianship, while Edsel’s growling vocals deliver the venomous message of “You ain’t got no respect” – a sentiment everyone can relate to.

Dope is also releasing an introspective infomercial, which doubles as a behind the scenes look into the real life of Edsel, his private life, and his many ventures outside of Dope. The introduction to Blood Money Part Zer0 video can be seen here:

Dope will be touring in 2023 in support of Blood Money Part Zer0 as part of the Rise Of The Machine Tour with Static-X and Fear Factory.
