MACHINE HEAD‘s Robb Flynn comments, “The last few videos have been very artistic and thematic continuing the black & white scope of the concept record. For this we just wanted to have an old school, 90’s style live video, that is more or less a tribute to our absolutely insane fans (the Head Cases) going bat shit crazy, mixed with some good ol’ life-on-the-road-getting-hammered-backstage-vibe. Enjoy!”

MACHINE HEAD Announces Their Electric Happy Hour (Live) Spring 2023 Tour!

Following the release of their 10th full-length album “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” to staggering 10/10 reviews across the board and Top 10 chartings across the globe, MACHINE HEAD will embark on an 18-date trek across the U.S.. The Electric Happy Hour (Live) tour will kick off on May 15th in Ventura, CA, and will make its way to Des Moines, Fort Wayne, and Detroit before ending in Los Angeles on June 9th.

Says MACHINE HEAD founder Robb Flynn, “Really stoked to be heading out in America again, the last tour had so many moments that were so strong and just beyond life affirming!”

Continues Flynn, “It makes me super proud that we have stayed the path playing these intimate venues doing 2 and 1/2 to 3 hour ‘Evening With-style shows’ for the last 8 years.  These shows are incredibly rewarding for us as musicians and to people who come out to just go fucking nuts with us.  Eight years ago the idea was to provide OUR PEOPLE with an experience no other metal band was/is doing right now, and somehow this crazy idea stuck! Me personally… I’m getting really bored of going to see a band headline for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or trudge 50 miles down to the amphitheater to pay $40 for parking and $15 bucks for beer to see a show, so being able to offer something unique in this day and age feels really good.”

“We’re especially looking forward to the EHH format with Sir Vogg joining us on this upcoming tour. In reality, I see it becoming even a bit more free-form, you might get 5 songs off of ‘The Blackening,’ you might get 5 songs off of ‘Burn My Eyes,’ you might get 5 cover songs! The setlist has changed a little from day to day, and the beer always flows, so come down a bang with us for Electric Happy Hour (Live)!”

More U.S. dates are being announced soon Head Cases, so if you don’t see your city now, stay tuned!

MACHINE HEAD Announces Fall “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” U.S. Tour

Following the release of their 10th full-length album “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” to staggering 10/10 reviews across the board and Top 10 chartings across the globe, MACHINE HEAD will embark on an intimate venue tour through small-town America as part of their Electric Happy Hour (Live).  Dates include some tour favorites that MACHINE HEAD have had over the years including oft-missed places such as Minot, North Dakota, Springfield, Missouri, Huntington, West Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina.

Enthuses frontman/founder Robb Flynn, “Were fucking STOKED to get out and demolish venues in some of our favorite small towns in America. We have had an awesome and productive pandemic break writing our new album ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN,’ but now it’s time for Machine Head to go melt some faces!! The reaction to our ‘Electric Happy Hour (Live)’ shows in Scotland so far are nothing short of incredible, so for this first leg of this U.S. run we will continue and will see us performing solo for 2 ½ to 3 hours a night.”  We LOVED performing our online shows which we dubbed Electric Happy Hour for you Head Cases over the pandemic, the loose, beer-drenched and unscripted setlist, the deep-cuts, the random cover songs, it gave us the freedom to do whatever the fuck we wanted for as long as we wanted every night was liberating.  It’s not what everyone else is doing, and frankly, there are not a lot of bands who could even pull it off, but Machine Head CAN pull it off, and we are excited as fuck to do it again.  We are carving our own path here, playing by our own rules, and as an artist, it’s the best feeling in the world, so come down and rage!!”

Bassist Jared MacEachern proclaims, “We’re finally bringing ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ and more to you, America! We’re gonna kick it off in the small towns, a real nooks and crannies kind of run. We’re gonna be raging right in each others faces, so be ready for a sweaty, beer-drenched, throat-ripping good time!

Speaking about the new track, MACHINE HEAD founder and visionary, Robb Flynn shares;

“We’re really proud of the video for ‘NØ GØDS, NØ MASTERS’. It was an incredible collaboration between three different creative teams working across two different continents. Our director/editor Mike Sloat (Machine Head, Testament) teamed up with the amazing Grupa 13 (Behemoth, Amon Amarth) and then the stunning 3-D CGI came from Phil Radford AKA MayaGuy of Strangebox. The track was masterfully mixed by long-time Machine Head collaborator Colin Richardson and his engineer Chris Clancy. This is a really special song from the album.”

Machine Head Release New Track and Music Video “UNHALLØWED”

From Upcoming Album “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” (Out 8/26)

Bay Area metal titans, MACHINE HEAD, have dropped mammoth new track, “UNHALLØWED”, today along with an accompanying video shot live from the band’s Electric Happy Hour series. Stream the new track HERE and watch the live video below. The new track is lifted from the band’s tenth studio album, ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ which will be released via Nuclear Blast x Imperium Recordings on August 26th, 2022. Pre-orders available now HERE.

Speaking on the latest track to be released from the upcoming album, MACHINE HEAD founder, Robb Flynn shares;

“UNHALLØWED”: Chapter Six – ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’

“Drowning in the deepest depression of his life, Eros is at a breaking point. Collecting heartaches, loss, and near psychotic isolation, “Unhallowed” is the beginning of a powerful shift of our story. An introspective narrative starts the song lyrically, which is a collaborative effort written by myself, Guitarist Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka, and Bassist/Backing Vocalist Jared MacEachern and encapsulates the collective strength of this writing team.

“Anchored by an absolutely monstrous groove, the vocals melodically mirror the state of mind of Eros as he reels from the loss of his mother to a drug overdose and begins a slow downward spiral into madness. However, the culmination of the track infuses some much-needed light, but will it be enough?”

MACHINE HEAD’s upcoming album, ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN‘ is a 13 track concept album set in a decimated futuristic wasteland where the sky is stained crimson red. The crux of the story is based on two main characters:

Character #1 Ares: (pronounced Aries), our main, who loses the love of his life (Amethyst) and goes on a murderous rampage against the vile sect responsible for her murder.

Character #2 Eros: (pronounced Arrows) the perpetrator, who loses his mother to a drug overdose and becomes radicalized in the aftermath. Eros goes off the deep end manifesting his own killing spree.

The lyrics detail how their lives intertwine.

The colossal concept comes with a list of equally colossal packaging for various physical formats including 16 different worldwide vinyl formats, deluxe vinyl box set (with bonus tracks), CDs (both old-school longbox and jewel box options), multi-color cassettes, and a limited-edition Digipak with bonus tracks.

MACHINE HEAD ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” OUT AUGUST 26

Bay Area metal titans MACHINE HEAD has announced the details of their forthcoming tenth album, the immense and unapologetic, ‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ coming August 26th, 2022 (via Nuclear Blast x Imperium Recordings). The debut of the first video from the album, the ferocious CHØKE ØN THE ASHES ØF YØUR HATE can be viewed below.

‘ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN’ is a 13 track concept album set in a decimated futuristic wasteland where the sky is stained crimson red.

MACHINE HEAD founder Robb Flynn comments:

“Thanks to my 2 teenage boys my family has become obsessed with this awesome Japanese anime series called “Attack On Titan.” The album’s concept was loosely inspired by the series in the sense that in the storyline, there is no “good” or “bad” guy, both characters believe they’re doing the right thing as it applies to their being, but make no mistake, both are committing acts of pure atrocity and evil. The opening track “SLAUGHTER THE MARTYR” is basically our character #1’s origin story.”

CDs, Digipak, cassettes, and all digital formats will be available on Aug 26th, with all vinyl formats arriving on Nov 25th.
