Always the innovators and constantly finding new ways to expand their societal footprint, Steel Panther have launched a new series on their popular SPTV channel on YouTube. The new show – Are You Metal? – is the band’s first game show hosted by drummer Stix Zadinia and seeks to find out which of his bandmates is the most-metal on a given week. Vocalist Michael Starr, guitarist Satchel and bassist Spyder answer trivia as only they can with hilarious results. The show is released weekly on Tuesdays. The current episode as well as all Steel Panther visual content can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/@steelpantherrocks/videos

Steel Panther released their sixth studio album On The Prowl worldwide on February 24, 2023. On The Prowl was produced by Steel Panther and brought the band their most-recent #1 Billboard comedy album. The album is currently available for order in multiple configurations including CD, Cassette, and 2 different color variant vinyl records . From the opening synth intro of “Never Too Late (To Get Some Pu**y Tonight)” to the thunderous outro of “Sleeping On The Rollaway,” Steel Panther is back with the infectious riffs, pounding drums, unforgettable vocals alongside the witty humor that has earned them a global audience. Songs like “On Your Instagram,” “Magical Vagina” and “One Pump Chump” are sure to fit in on the biggest live stages next to the band’s most-memorable songs. The band has released the music videos from On The Prowl to date: the opener

As Steel Panther has ventured into the musical instrument space with the successful release of three guitar pedals: the legendary Pu**y MelterPoontang Boomerang and Butthole Burner; the band is back with another must-have piece of gear – the 1987 pedal. The pedal is a combination distortion and delay pedal that can give any guitarist the signature sound of that classic year. The pedal will retail for $198.70 (see what we did there?) and as only Steel Panther can describe: “With the grit of 100 chainsaws and the ability to repeat itself more than that super stoned dude from Chemistry Class, it is truly the ultimate badass accessory…next to eyeliner.” The 1987 pedal is available for order here: https://steelpantherrocks.com/collections/on-the-prowl.

LIVE REVIEW: STEEL PANTHER ON THE PROWL TOUR 2023

There was no excess when it came to the glam metal. Drugs, alcohol, ladies, money and a lot of hair spray and tight spandex pants. I happened to grow up during that time, with my favorite records coming from bands like Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and others. I did embrace the music, but not fashion, so I guess I can’t call myself a true fan, but nonetheless it is always nice to bring back the memories of that time. This is exactly what Steel Panther provides us. Steel Panther is the full-blown time machine. Currently on tour to support their latest studio album On The Prowl. Extensive tour that spans over a month and covers all major US markets and will continue in May in UK and Ireland. This last Friday tour came to New York City. Welcome back to 80’s.

This was the second time for me to witness Steel Panther live. They stay true to their script of providing the fans with good feel music of days gone by and entertain the crowd with their profane and suggestive (or I must say pretty direct) comedy act. There was one difference that I must note , that stuck out to me since I saw them last time back in 2019. They have gotten more cohesive in sound. Sonically they are impeccable. There was one downside for me though. Four years back their comedy act felt fresh and spicy, now it felt that most jokes were recycled, and that tanginess was missing. I’m sure that is something they can work on. Overall it was the same old no fucks given Steel Panther performance.

Music wise I was expecting a bit more new material, as they are touring to support their latest album On The Prowl, from which we got three songs from it – 1987, Never Too Late (To Get Some Pussy Tonight) and Ain’t Dead Yet. Most represented was bands first album Feel The Steel, with six songs. Band opened their set with Eyes Of A Panther and Let me Cum In, followed by little stand up comedy time by “Satchel” introducing band members and cracking jokes. Band also played Whitesnake cover of Slide It In, featuring Frank Bello from Anthrax on bass and Mike Tirelli on vocals. Just before the encore band invited ladies and some gents on stage to dance during the Party All Day (Fuck All Night). For an encore fans were treated to Community Property and Gloryhole.

Steel Panther Release “Friends With Benefits” Music Video

Releases Their First-Ever Phone App Rock N’ Talk To Help Music Fans Connect Online

With less than two weeks until the release of their sixth studio album On The Prowl and to celebrate Valentine’s Day, California rock lotharios Steel Panther are back with their latest music video from the album. The NSFW video is for the track “Friends With Benefits” and is a song that lyrically explores a mutually beneficial relationship between two consenting adults. The music video – directed by longtime collaborator J.T. Arbogast – is Steel Panther’s take on the immensely popular show Shark Tank. The band appears in Panther Den as they try and pitch a series of creative ideas to four high-powered cougars. Products such as the Glorious Hole, The Coolcumber and Slikknutz all sound like meaningful creations until Michael Starr arrives selling himself and his companionship package. The band performs in front of the panel of female business leaders and by the time the song is over – there are more than just their wallets out. People can sign up and connect with other individuals in their cities and make plans to meet up at shows and develop friendships all thanks to their common interest in the band comprised of Michael Starr, Satchel, Stix Zadinia and Spyder. The app will also look to expand to integrate other artists in the future. The app and sign-up will be free and is available for all smart phones now. ABOUT STEEL PANTHER:

History falls on two sides of one line. There was the age before Steel Panther—but let’s be honest, no one cares about any of that. And then, there was the age after Steel Panther, which is all that matters. Since Steel Panther clawed their way out of the Sunset Strip and onto the global stage, rock ‘n’ roll has kicked ass once again.

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000.  They have continuously flown the flag for heavy metal higher than anybody this century. 2009’s Feel The Steel announced their arrival as saviors of rock, showing guests such as Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, and Scott Ian of Anthrax how it’s done! On its heels, Balls Out [2011] boasted collaborations with everyone from Chad Kroeger of Nickelback and Nuno Bettencourt to Dane Cook. The group unleashed a string of banging LPs, namely All You Can Eat [2014], Lower The Bar [2017], and Heavy Metal Rules [2019]. Meanwhile, they earned ink from Billboard, Classic Rock, Consequence, Metal Hammer, and more, tallying hundreds of millions of streams views in the process. They’ve logged countless miles on the road (and stolen groupies from) Aerosmith and Stone Sour in addition to leaving festivals such as Download begging for more. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with five full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.  Now, the quartet—Michael Starr [lead vocals], Satchel [lead guitar], Spyder [bass], and Stix Zadinia [drums]—reach another level altogether on their sixth full-length offering, On The Prowl.

Steel Panther Announce Sixth Studio Album “On The Prowl”

On the heels of the recent addition of Spyder as their full-time bassist, California rock legends Steel Panther are announcing their sixth studio album On The Prowl. The album is schedule for release on February 24, 2023 and feature 13 new tracks from the creative brains of Satchel, Michael Starr, Stix Zadinia and Spyder. On The Prowl was produced by Steel Panther and is now available for pre-order in multiple configurations including CD, Cassette, and 2 different color variant vinyl records here:  https://lnk.to/Panther_OTP

“The song and video are an absolute public service announcement. People have been asking Steel Panther for advice on life, love and the pursuit of happiness for decades. ‘Never Too Late’ is a reminder to never give up, follow your heart, realize your dreams, overcome your challenges, navigate the rough seas, reach for stars and any other cliché you have in your pocket. Basically, what we are saying it is never too late to get some pu**y tonight,”  explains Stix Zadinia.

Steel Panther Crown Spyder As Their New Full-Time Bassist

Just as England recently announced a new King, California rock legends Steel Panther have crowned Spyder as the new R.O.L.E…Ruler Of Low End.

The story of Spyder and Steel Panther is like one pulled from any great American love story. If you have seen The Notebook or Jaws, then you know exactly what we mean. Spyder and the guys have known each other for decades. But it was in 2018 that Spyder did his first live show with the band. Little did they know that those shows would be a foreshadowing of what destiny had in store for their collective futures. In 2021, the band found themselves in a pickle, they needed a bass player. An exhaustive search brought many submissions and fans were treated to a variety of bassists on different tours. The band had even considered a few well-known bassists to fill the void. Throughout the five-week European tour in summer of 2022, it became quite evident to all four guys that this lineup was unstoppable. A few more months of touring together perfected the new lineup and now anyone that has seen the band recently knows that Spyder is the perfect addition for Steel Panther. In other words, Spyder is the chocolate to Steel Panther’s peanut butter.

“We wanted it to be you. We wanted it to be you so badly. So, it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but we want to do that because we want you. We want all of you, forever, you and us, every day. To us, you are perfect. You had us at hello. You complete us. We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” explains Steel Panther

To coincide with the new bassist announcement, the newly whole Steel Panther are announcing a new US tour,  Claus & Paws Holiday Party. ABOUT STEEL PANTHER:

For the uninitiated, Steel Panther was formed in 2000.  Hailing from Los Angeles, the epicenter for rock n’ roll in all its debauchery and glamour, Steel Panther has established themselves as the world’s premier party band, melding hard rock virtuosity with parody and criminally good looks. Steel Panther is a global phenomenon with four full-length albums, touring across the world, platinum-level You Tube status and high-profile television appearances such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Larry King Now, and FOX NFL Sunday.

Rolling Stone avowed, “There’s a reason Steel Panther have transcended their origins as a cover band playing the Sunset Strip,” while Metal Sucks declared, Steel Panther’s concept is genius…their songwriting is…preposterously snappy – and relatable.”
