Brazilian kings of death metal Krisiun are pleased to announce their new studio album Mortem Solis, on July 29th, 2022 via Century Media Records.
To celebrate the announcement of the new album, Krisiun have just released their new track “Serpent Messiah” today. Watch the music video for the first single off Mortem Solis, directed by Estevam Romera, below.
For the group’s 12th album, the trio – brothers Alex Camargo (bass/vocals), Max Kolesne (drums) and Moyses Kolesne (guitars) – recorded their new material locally at Family Mob Studio (Ratos De Porão, Crypta) in São Paulo, Brazil and mixed/mastered the album with Mark Lewis (Kataklysm, Deicide, The Black Dahlia Murder, etc.) in Nashville, Tennessee. Mortem Solis’ artwork (seen above) was designed by Marcelo Vasco (Slayer, Venom, Dark Funeral).
Mortem Solis – which is Latin for “death of the sun” – will be available as limited edition digipak (with the exclusive bonus track “Death of the Sun).
Currently on a comprehensive tour across South America, Krisiun have already announced their return to Europe for a few select summer festival appearances as well as being part of the Vile Nilotic Rites European tour as support for U.S. death metal band Nile in November/December 2022.
