BEAU RELEASE NEW EP “LIFE TWICE” ALONG WITH ACCOMPANYING VIDEO

Range Media recording artists, Beau today release their new EP and video Life Twice through their partnership with Virgin Music Label & Artist Services.

Beau’s previous three singles, along with the title track “Life Twice”, have culminated in the beautiful, emotional journey that is the Life Twice EP. Kicking off with the hauntingly beautiful “Hardly Breathing”, Beau’s thoughtful and masterful songwriting immediately come to the forefront with dynamic shifts in instrumentation and intensity. This dynamic shift flows right into the next track, “Into The Night” which starts off with a whisper and slowly builds throughout the song into a huge final chorus. “Life Twice” draws on many of Beau’s inspirations creating an amalgamation of new wave, modern pop, and alternative music with carefully crafted synths, guitar, bass, and of course, powerful vocals. The EP closes with the heart-wrenching, “Even If You’re Gone”, showcasing Beau’s ability to pull on listeners’ emotions while still writing catchy melodies that stick with you, long after the song is over.

Beau says, “Life Twice is an EP about second chances and new beginnings. Endings have to happen for new beginnings to start and we essentially had to finish other bodies of work unconsciously to pop Life Twice out. It really is a post pandemic EP. It feels really good to be able to give this series of music to the world with a perfect ‘beau’ on it.”

Along with the new EP, Beau have released an accompanying music video for the title track “Life Twice”. The vibrantly colorful music video, directed by Brandon Herman, perfectly encapsulates Beau’s aesthetic with intricate lighting and captivating attire.

Beau says, “‘Life Twice’ is a song about trials and tribulations. It’s about a desire to be woken up out of a spell and led in a different direction. There’s a balance that must be maintained in relationships and this song focuses on the feelings that arise when that balance is challenged.”

Beau have received praise for their releases over the past few years from numerous tastemaker publications including: The New York Times, Paper, NME, Noisey, W Magazine, Vanity Fair, and more. Forever was reviewed by Atwood Magazine who said, “Sweetly cinematic and intimately tender, Beau’s radiant new EP is an emphatic, exhilarating return that reminds us both how and why we fell for the NYC duo in the first place: Marrying catchy, colorful indie rock with deeply cathartic emotion, Forever is as vulnerable as it is wondrous: A stirring four-track release that leaves our curiosity piqued and our hearts hungry for more.”

Beau has toured the world opening for acts including the Voidz, Miike Snow, Børns, Edward Sharpe and have become well known staples in the fashion world, performing at fashion shows in Paris for Chloe and in NYC for Rebecca Minkoff.

ABOUT BEAU

New York City is known for being the center point for the merging of cultures, a hub for fashion, literature, art, and a fertile breeding ground for music of all genres. Alt-pop duo Beau, singer/songwriters Heather Goldin, and Emma Jenney are the amalgam of all that the artistic community has to offer. From punk rock to folk, to modern pop, Beau’s reputation for creating atmospheric and catchy songs is directly influenced by their eclectic upbringing in NYC. Their music embodies the soul of the city’s musical history pumping through each note.

Meeting at such a tender age allowed them to develop a “sister-like” relationship, with both being born into families active in New York City’s art scene. As the girls grew, and their parents explored their artistic lives as painters, that life exposed them to everything in the arts including musicians and writers solidifying their path towards artistic expression. Music quickly became their creative outlet of choice, deviating from their parents but still creating landscapes in the minds of their listeners with their songs.

In continuing their upward rise, Beau is now readying the release of their third EP, called Life Twice. After seven years and many important musical experiences under their belts, the duo has refined their intricate sound design, coupled with emotive songwriting and masterful musicianship.

The new EP was produced by Beau, with one song being co-produced by Nicolas Vehrnes, and recorded at the famed Electric Lady Studios in NYC, with additional recording at Redbull Studios in LA.

In 2015 they released a self-titled EP and then signed with Kisuné/Sony in France releasing 2016’s debut LP, That Thing Reality.

The next EP Forever saw Beau taking a slightly different musical direction, at Electric Lady Studios and working with a slew of collaborators including producer Nick Brown (Foster the People, Soccer Mommy, The Knocks) and GRAMMY award-winning producers Nicholas Vernhes (War On Drugs) and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow).

After a stint at tastemaker label, Heavy Roc Music where they further honed their musical identity among label mates, Sofi Tukker, Blue DeTiger, and the Knocks, they realized that success on their own terms was what was going to define their future.

Now signed to Range Music/Virgin Music, Beau continues to be inspired by the city they love, created and produced music that represents their young and artistic lives, and are on the cusp of the release of their new EP. Exactly where they need to be!
