“’Bloodsport’ was inspired by complacency,” frontwoman Elana Justin says. “I feel that as a group, we have become desensitized to tragedy. We, myself included, distract ourselves in order to protect our psyche. We use things like reality television, overmedicating, and video games to numb ourselves. We see things happening right in front of us and do nothing. Things that should horrify us have slowly become normal.”
