With the support of New Jersey bands Gutter Violence and Final Girls
Wow. What an experience! Loud and Wild! Louisiana metallic hardcore rising stars Capra are currently on headline spring tour supporting their latest release Errors, and on Wednesday March 13th they came to New Jersey to perform in The Meatlocker.

First, let’s talk about the venue. Seems like an old meatlocker located under the existing restaurant turned into the local underground scene. Graffiti and sticker filled walls tells the stories about people and events visiting the place, well a lot of other stuff besides that as well. Quite frankly I enjoyed my time there. It was some real hardcore music experience in fitting underground setting.
First band on stage came young New Jersey grind and slam band called Gutter Violence. Complete and utter chaos ensued. Band vocalist put on a ski mask and ventured into the different dimension of crazy, rolling and bouncing around the pit while delivering the demonic growls. With all the craziness the musical performance was exceptional for such a young band. Cohesiveness and quality were evident as the band could achieve some great things in the future.

We have covered a lot of Asian all girl metal bands. Kawaii metal is on the rise in Asia and seems like we are about to put some excellent competition. New Jersey’s own Final Girls are about to put the world on notice. Young ladies define themselves as death metal and hardcore band. They definitely will steal your hearts not only with their looks and attitude but with some excellent metal music as well. They played an amazing set with songs like Just Give In, Killer Instinct, Kill Him, Gallows, Slash Her and more.
Just like the fellow opening NJ act they provided quality performance musically and emotionally. The pit was going crazy during every song with the bands vocalist asking for blood. It was evident that girls have their own fan base, how could they not, and I believe they could be on the verge of breakthrough.

The headline band Capra came on the stage quite late in the evening already, but the energy wasn’t diminished, and the band delivered fierce set. We have been covering Capra for since our own beginning, and we love this band a ton. Aggressive hardcore sound with heart full of emotions being delivered in lyrics. Their sophomore album Errors is an amazing piece of work that delivers a full spectrum of soul crunching songs. Crow Lotus lyrics cut deep, and band’s music tear you apart. Personally, Errors is one the best albums I’ve heard of late.
Their set was filled with the material from Errors including CHSF, Tied Up, Trauma Bond and my absolute favorite Silana, and some oldies but goldies from their debut album In Transmission – Mutt, Medusa and The Locust Preacher.
Capra are:
Crow Lotus: Vocals
Tyler Harper: Guitar
Jeremy Randazzo: Drums
Trevor Alleman: Bass
