I had the opportunity to interview Halo Kitsch on August 31, 2024, before her show at The Bourbon Room. This young lady was very down to earth and so personable. I loved our conversation and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to meet up again. Her first EP under Halo Kitsch With you in Mind released in 2022.

How did you become interested in music? I started writing music as a young child, I loved listening to various musicians. There were a few that truly inspired me.

What inspires you to write music? I write a lot of my songs based on personal experiences that I go through; it definitely helps me process each situation and emotions.

Who are your musical influences and what one thing resonated with you the most about each artist? My favorites include Kesha because I love her confidence and her growth. A few more musicians include Julia Michaels, Machine Gun Kelly, New Radicals, Sheryl Crow, and Lenny Kravitz.  I also resonate with Machine Gun Kelly because I relate to his life story and that he never gave up regardless of the situations.  Another favorite is Julia Michaels for strong voice.  But in my early years, from the age of 8yrs old I definitely looked up to Sheryl Crow and Lenny Kravitz.

Most memorable fan interaction? I was playing at the LA County Fair, and a young girl saw my performance, danced the whole set, and after the show she asked me for an autograph, and gave me a necklace.
