The Odyssey” is the title of the new single released by Danish alternative metal duo CRYOSPHERE. It is a tale of two separate minds melding together, wrapped in the tale of the giant Antaeus and the lesser known siren Agliopé. Referencing the old Greek mythology, CRYOSPHERE tells the story of two people coming from different worlds and yet somehow prevail together, despite being cast into a sea of turmoil.

Cryosphere is a metal duo with a focus on creating music that seamlessly explores a huge range of styles. Evolving into a duo from being a band. This change have allowed the duo to add more variety musically as well as to lyrically explore and embrace a broader mix of the traditional and modern world.

The mixing and mastering for the single was completed by Frederik Dinesen, an up and coming Danish mixing-sound engineer, who did an excellent job at helping the duo cement their vision.

The music is incredibly powerful and direct, and is CRYOSPHERE’s heaviest release yet. Sirene manages to shift between velvety soft vocals and harsh screeching, which draws you in and complemented beautifully by Anders’ hard-hitting harsh vocals.

As a result “The Odyssey” is incredibly heavy and in-your-face, yet still paints the picture of nuance, which has become the duo’s speciality and trademark. If you like heavy, yet thought-provoking music to sing along to, this is a must on your playlist! “The Odyssey” is another masterpiece that showcases the duo’s diverse ability to blur the lines between various influences and genres. CRYOSPHERE’s new release, “The Odyssey”, is highly recommended if you are a fan of artists such as In this Moment, Lacuna Coil and Linkin Park.
