With influences ranging from Fontaines DC, Radiohead and Bjork, the second single “Daddy” was written and produced by WØLFFE and Dan McDougall (Liam Gallagher, Baby Queen). The single “Daddy” dropped August 30th on CUB Records via AWAL.
The short film for “Daddy” – the second single from WØLFFE‘s debut alt-rock Honeymoon Season EP – featuring actors Bert Seymour and Mike Kelson, directed and produced by Anthony Mitson, premieres today (January 17, 2025).
“After approximately 1 minute of meeting director, Anthony Mitson, it was clear that we both shared a mutual obsession of all things a bit weird and David Lynch. We shot this film on a shoestring in my house in South London in early November and I’m forever grateful to Anthony for bringing ‘Daddy‘ to the screen, where I hope you can further enjoy the repetitive madness and beautiful sadness of this story”.
Watch “Daddy” here:
Daddy look what I done
I’m no longer numb
I’m number one
Nothing can stop me, nothing
Come on watch me summersault
Off the sun
Shaved my head
Just for fun
Look Daddy
Look what I done
Oh Daddy what did you say?
I can’t hear the words
I’m too far away
I’m dancing on Father’s Day
Romancing the way
That he behaved
No need to hate
I need to save
I need to save him
Hey wait up now
Whatcha saying?
Daddy
I want a million quid
A villa in Hampstead
A pool in the garden
With him but he’s different
This time
He’s mine
We intertwine
We rhyme
Just fine
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Oh Daddy what did you do?
You said that you’d be home by midnight
Now it’s two, it’s true
I do anything for you
Blue tears in the kitchen
Wishing drinking was killing me
Not you, so stop it now Daddy
Stop it Daddy
I hate you
Oh Daddy I didn’t mean it
Just feel it all so deeply
Sweetly sucking peaches from off of my
Lover’s fingers
Molding creatures
From demons
With no feelings
I keep dreaming
One day I’ll wake up
Believing
Daddy
I want a million quid
A villa in Hampstead
A pool in the garden
With him but he’s different
This time
He’s mine
We intertwine
We rhyme
Just fine
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Speak up
I need love
I see God
Not got a lot left for his daughter
So speak up
I need love
I see God
Not got a lot left for his daughter
And he really ought to
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
Daddy I won’t beg
I won’t beg
