AT THE POPULAR MUSIC VENUE SONIA FOR THEIR FIRST STOP IN THE U.S. OF THEIR 2025 NORTH AMERICAN STAND UP TOUR
There are concerts and there are EPIC CONCERTS. Well this one is for the books…again! An EPIC CONCERT indeed on this night! With about 750K subscribers on YouTube alone (and continuously growing) with millions of views on many of their music videos, The South Korean All-Female Rock Band called ROLLING QUARTZ are paving their way to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and success.

ROLLING QUARTZ consists of 5 powerful, charismatic, and talented ladies/musicians who “DELIGHT**ed” their fans called DIADEM once again here in the U.S. for their first stop in America (their 3rd stop for their U.S./CANADA NORTH AMERICAN 2025 TOUR) at the popular music venue called SONIA in Cambridge, MA (Boston) on Friday April 4, 2025. The ladies of ROLLING QUARTZ are charming, friendly, elegant, and full of smiles. But underneath all their charm and pretty smiles, The Ladies of ROLLING QUARTZ can deliver a riveting and strong rock performance full of fire and passion on stage that is undeniably unforgettable. They know how to Rock, and they know how to ROCK HARD AND LOUD!
Diadems lined up as early as 10am waiting patiently for the arrival of Rolling Quartz to the venue. Some have traveled as far away as Los Angeles, CA and Cleveland, OH just to see them first-hand for bragging rights. The last time they were in America they performed in Minnesota for Anime Detour 2024. Before that they had their very first U.S. Tour in May of 2023 (See my photo gallery coverage from their 2023 Rock and Roll Paradise Tour, my very first ever coverage and photo gallery of a rock band for SLR MAGAZINE):

This is my 5th time seeing them perform and my 4th time covering for SLR MAGAZINE and this time with a written review.
What can I say except, WOW! WOW! WOW! The ladies of ROLLING QUARTZ just keep getting better and better. Their performance and their playing skills were very tight. Their presence on stage was nothing short of brilliance, full of confidence and full of raw power. On this night in the cool and breezy weather of Boston/Cambridge, ROLLING QUARTZ brought their fiery energy and “BLAZE*d” up the packed venue with their explosive performance once again, fueled with non-stop action from beginning to the end. The fans were full of excitement throughout the day while standing patiently in line and continued that buzz of excitement all the way to the end of the show. Some fans even got together after the show and formed a new friendship and talked about their great experience of the night.
From the moment the main lights were turned down, the RAW POWER and ENERGY of ROLLING QUARTZ were felt right away by their loving fans. Captivated DIADEMS cheered loud and proud for each member as they set foot onto the stage. Opening with a high-energy song called “Kickstart My Heart” by the great heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, ROLLING QUARTZ immediately set the tone for the night, electrifying the audience and the venue with their passion for rock music that only comes from hard work, determination, and love of their craft and their fans. Their stage presence was undeniably authentic and amazing, often times interacting with audience and showing their love to connect to their DIADEMS. Each member delivered an outstanding performance that showcased not only their individual skills, but also their talents as one solid group as a band.
Lead vocalist Jayoung commanded the night with her magnetic and charming personality on stage while delivering a powerful and dynamic vocal range on the microphone, singing and screaming with such strong passion and on point throughout the entire performance. Arem, the ever so badass bass player, also delivered a strong performance with her thunderous bass strumming skills. Arem has the best hair flipping and head banging skills (in my opinion) in today’s young Rock generation. Choi Hyun jung and Iree were both amazing and in-sync with their sharp axe shredding skills sharing both leads on guitar. Last, and certainly not the least, Yeong Eun also brought her A-game, with her flawless drum skills, never missing a beat pounding hard on her drums.
The setlist was a great mix of fan favorites from older songs such as “BLAZE”* and “DELIGHT”** to new ones like “RE.BOLD” and “STAND UP” to some cover songs from Mötley Crüe to Lady Gaga to My Chemical Romance, with each song getting the crowd more and more hyped and excited. From the riveting riffs of the guitars and thunderous bass to the beautiful choruses and hard drums, ROLLING QUARTZ had everyone singing, head banging, and cheering at every song. Their fans’ energy matched the band’s energy all throughout the evening, celebrating life one song at a time. The connection between ROLLING QUARTZ and their fans, DIADEMS, created an atmosphere that was both heartwarming and electrifying with a night to remember, always.
The encore was epic, with ROLLING QUARTZ closing the show with an unforgettable performance of “Helena” by My Chemical Romance, leaving the audience chanting for more songs. One DIADEM even shouted “10 more songs” and the members laughed out loud along with the other DIADEMS.
Overall, ROLLING QUARTZ’s Boston/Cambridge concert was the perfect example of what a concert should be, fun, exciting, and memorable, while showcasing the band’s incredible talent and authentically connecting to their fans. If you love music and you love Rock and Roll, you will love ROLLING QUARTZ and their EPIC PERFORMANCE. And if ROLLING QUARTZ ever go to a city or State near you, I highly suggest for you to go see them—it’s an experience you won’t forget!
