Tribute bands are really big here on the West Coast. We’re now seeing tribute bands not only playing traditional club venues in LA but now also attracting thousands at various summer concert series events. All female bands are among the most popular. 25 years ago the genre of female-fronted tribute bands started with the emergence of Whole Lotta Rosies. This group delivers their high voltage version of AC/DC classics that salutes both eras of AC/DC highlighting the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson fronted years of the band. We captured their live show this week at The Lighthouse in Hermosa Beach, California. The packed house saw a live show that has no shortage of energy on stage and in the audience. You can of course still see AC/DC with a stadium full of attendees but you can also see groups like Whole Lotta Rosies in a much more intimate setting and rock to your hearts delight.
