Baltimore’s Dead Eyes return with “Relapse,” a blistering new single arriving Friday, June 27th via Thriller Records. This new single, accompanied by a visualizer, is a full-throttle dive into the part of healing no one talks about—the part where you backslide, fall apart, and go crawling back to the thing that wrecked you. Dedicated to anyone who has ever felt ashamed of their healing journey, and discovering that recovery is not a straight line but a series of circles that sometimes lead you right back to where you started.

“‘Relapse’ is a love song for the self destructive, a battle cry for the war between the storm and silence,” explains vocalist Zach Williams, perfectly explaining the track’s paradoxical nature.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you about healing: sometimes the worst part isn’t the initial wound. It’s the moment when you realize you’ve become addicted to the pain itself. “Relapse” dives headfirst into that uncomfortable truth, the one therapists dance around and self-help books conveniently skip over. It’s about that sick, twisted moment when someone who destroyed you walks back into your life, and instead of running, you find yourself opening the door wider. Williams isn’t preaching or offering solutions; he’s sitting in the mud with you, acknowledging that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is admit you want to fall apart again. It’s messy, it’s human, and it’s exactly the kind of uncomfortable conversation we need more of in music.
