Last night the legendary hitmaking, Platinum-selling, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and freshly inducted Songwriters Hall of Fame band The Doobie Brothers kicked off their North American WALK THIS ROAD TOUR at Pine Knob Amphitheater in Detroit. The first show of the highly anticipated tour was broadcast live on SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville and featured unparalleled summer concert vibes with special guests Jimmy Buffet’s Coral Reefer Band, who are opening on all dates.

The Doobie Brothers’ WALK THIS ROAD TOUR follows the release of their critically acclaimed new studio album WALK THIS ROAD (Rhino). The tour features all the hits fans know and love as well as first-ever live performances off WALK THIS ROAD – the first studio album to feature Johnston, Simmons, McFee and McDonald and the first in four decades with McDonald recording new songs with the band.
The band’s July UK and Ireland WALK THIS ROAD TOUR earned rave reviews. “Feel good vibes and a string of beloved classics,” The Times of London praised, giving it 4 stars. “The 1970s Californian rock gods got the O2 crowd on their feet, with mind-blowing harmonies,” said The Telegraph. “Somehow, they manage to combine three lead guitarists and four lead vocalists without once stepping on each other’s toes. They can sing five-part harmonies. Watching in wonder as they swerved from Bossa Nova (Dependin’ on You) to American roots rock (Rockin’ Down the Highway) to light jazz (a tastefully stripped-down version of Amazing Grace), I could only marvel at the virtuosity of it all.”
The tour includes shows in New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Minneapolis and Toronto with more dates to be announced. For tickets visit: https://thedoobiebrothers.com/pages/tour.
The Coral Reefer Band is the touring and recording band of beloved American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett. The band performed with Buffett until his passing in 2023, and continues celebrating and performing his music at his request. The band reunited for the first time at 2024’s ‘Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett’ concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The Coral Reefer Band will keep the party going this summer bringing the hits of Jimmy Buffett to Parrot Heads and new audiences alike on all dates of this summer’s WALK THIS ROAD TOUR.

ABOUT THE DOOBIE BROTHERS:
For over five decades, The Doobie Brothers have been known for delivering mind-blowing, roots based, harmony-laden, guitar-driven rock and roll – all of which recently culminated in an induction into the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Boasting one of the most loyal fan bases in music, selling more than 48 million albums, and winning four GRAMMY® Awards, The Doobie Brothers continue to write and record new material and tour the world. Their No. 1 singles “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes,” both gold, lead a catalog of indelible songs that include: “Listen to the Music,” “China Grove,” “Jesus Is Just Alright,” “Rockin’ Down the Highway,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “Take Me In Your Arms,” “Takin’ it to the Streets,” “Minute by Minute,” “You Belong to Me,” “The Doctor” and more. In all, the Doobies have tallied up five top 10 singles and 16 top 40 hits. In 2025 The Doobie Brothers were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and released their new studio album WALK THIS ROAD featuring Johnston, McDonald, Simmons and McFee.

ABOUT THE CORAL REEFER BAND:
The Coral Reefer Band began their journey with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jimmy Buffett in 1973. While members have changed over the years, most of the band have performed with Jimmy for over 30 years. Together, they have toured the world with more than 40 tours and 30 albums. Not only are they the top-notch, highly regarded band with great solo careers of their own, but also collaborators, co-writing many songs with Jimmy, as well as Coral Reefers’ Mac McAnally and Michael Utley producing the majority of Buffett’s vast discography. When Jimmy passed in September of 2023, he left an edict to “keep the party going” and that’s just what his band continues to do. The Coral Reefer Band is led by ten-time CMA Musician of the Year, Mac McAnally who says “We are blessed with the task of honoring and continuing the musical legacy that Jimmy built over 5 plus decades. We are so lucky both to have shared the stage with him and to share his music with all who love it.”
