Unreal! Untouchable! Uncanny! And Unstoppable.! “LA’s Most Dangerous All Female Rock Band,” unpolished* came back home after a mini summer tour in some parts of the Western U.S. and started their mission once again to play and strut their untamed, ferocious, and fun style of rock around the venues of Los Angeles. They kicked off their LA show at the music venue called Permanent Roadhouse Records in the City of Cypress Park, CA with a strong number of old and new fans who attended and convened on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with full support of the band.

All dressed up in their emo style look with a touch of glam and glitter and their signature asterisk mark painted on their faces, the ladies are quickly garnering new fans all over due to their cool looks and their unique style of playing and musicianship. Having seen them several times since they started the band in 2024, their sound and stage presence just keeps improving which in turn have elevated unpolished* to new heights of greatness.
What separates unpolished* and makes them dangerous from a lot of new up and coming bands is that they don’t just play music because they are a band who can play alt/rock/emo/punk rock music. They also know how to perform on stage by creating memorable scenes for the audience to enjoy and remember, including engaging with the fans before, during, and after their show. The ladies of unpolished* know how to get the audience fired up and energized with the memorable scenes they create which comprised of many different distinct moments, whether it be from their lead singer always making middle finger gestures and dropping the “F” bombs while talking to the audience before their set and between songs; to their guitarist jumping out of the stage to interact personally with the audience on a one-on-one basis and doing splits while shredding her axe; to the hard pounding playing of drums by their drummer showcasing her uniqueness and style; to the cool riffs of their bassist while head banging and hair twirling and making funny tongue faces, but always on point playing her instrument; to once again their lead vocalist telling their beliefs and statements about current events happening in our country and all over the world, without being a preacher about it and without interrupting their performance of playing their great music they wrote, composed, and arranged. These are just some of the things you will see when you go to one of unpolished* band’s live shows.
The band consists of 4 undeniably unpredictable talented ladies on a mission to first conquer the LA music concert scene before tackling more out of State venues with goals of playing overseas as well with a possible future plan of playing at some music venues in Japan someday through one of my contacts in the world of JROCK music scene:
- Mary Bugbee – Vocals
- Celinda Chang – Guitarist
- Jasmine Day – Drummer
- Santos – Bassist
On this night, the band played 7 of their originals and 1 cover by one of their favorite EMO bands, My Chemical Romance:
- copy/paste
- nobody knows
- constitution
- hollybaby
- sucker
- Give ‘Em Hell, Kid (My Chemical Romance)
- ghost
- collateral damage
Check out the band unpolished* at a venue near you and watch them play unapologetically in front of you. FOLLOW THEM on all their social media and find out where they will be playing next.
