West Coast music artist Marina V has a new album out entitled Labryrinthine Rose which is set for release on October 24th. On October 11th fans were treated to a special preview concert for the new album along with along with other songs from her extensive catalog. The show was held at Studio 519, an intimate studio venue in SoCal that showcases established and emerging artists.

The new album has a rich production quality with strings and full band but for this show it was a three-piece ensemble with Marina on vocals & piano along with husband and collaborator Nick Baker on guitar and Dustin Prince on drums. In addition to the trio of musicians a few songs were supplemented with tracks, just the right amount to add some depth while retaining the optimal live experience. The audience was treated to the first-ever public performance of the new album and it came off perfect! Often times concerts that are based on new material can be risky, but in this case the album is so good that it really worked. In addition to her own material three cover songs were inserted into the mix, a Kylie Minogue cover, California Dreaming plus the classic Moscow Nights which Marina performed in Russian.
This author has seen and known Marina for over twenty years and this is her best album yet, worth adding to your collection available in physical format as well as on all the usual digital platforms. Below is a collection of images from the show.
