His first single off this EP is a pure lively tune that has a vibe that brings me back to some favorite alternative songs from the early 90’s, like a cross between Oasis, and The Wallflowers but with his own style thrown in. The One has a lyric that says “You are a steady driving force, breathe in” that I absolutely am drawn to. This first single brings it’s own energy, and it definitely draws you in, with it’s very high energy guitar, bass, and drum tones. The flair of the guitar and bass bring that extra pop of magic to the song. The guitar melody’s, and the drum kit brings it together, and of course the small guitar solo adds it’s own flair, you got to love the guitar riffs, they always draw me in.
The One is definitely going to be added to my favorite song album on Spotify, and I can’t wait for the rest of the songs to be released. I have been fortunate enough to watch Matt grow through this year, I enjoy watching him shred on the guitar, and I have watched him grow through the journey of watching him learn drums, as well as working on this EP. His growth is encouraging, and inspiring, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
