On May 2nd, 2026 at The Palladium Times Square in New York City
The blackened death metal band from Poland Behemoth are in the middle of its North American Spring 2026 headline “The Godless IV Tour” that kicked off on April 14 in San Diego and running through May 21 with finale in Los Angeles. Joining Behemoth for this run is a trio of fellow extreme metal bands — Deicide, Rotting Christ, and Immolation. On a beautiful and sunny day the tour came to New York City. Oh no, there was no sunshine down below, as Manhattan’s Palladium Times Square sits few stories below the ground. Yes, you had to leave earth and go down under for this one (insert evil laugh here).

This was my second time in the life witnessing a satanic themed band. The first time was many years ago seeing Morbid Angel. Guess where? Yes, down in the ground at Times Square, the very same place I had a chance to see Behemoth this Saturday. And while Morbid Angel is often associated with satanic, occult, and anti-religious themes, they mostly used for imagery purposes. behemoth is more straight forward in their beliefs , with frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski openly identifying as a Satanist. Bands music, lyrics, and public imagery heavily feature anti-Christian, occult, and Satanic themes. Band utilizes Satan as a symbol freedom and rebellion against religious authority.
Myself I’ve seen some of their music videos and heard some songs, but never have indulged in the bands work. Nonetheless I always knew that their live shows are a must see by anyone who likes metal music. That is the truth, Behemoth delivers the show that is breathtaking, heavy and visually striking. While I’ve seen many of their videos from larger arenas or festivals, for this tour the stage is bit toned down, but still delivers to set the right mood. The band does the rest with unapologetic delivery of extreme metal.
While the band still is within it’s orbit of the latest album The Shit ov God released almost a year ago to date, this tour focuses on overall work of the band through all the years.
Behemoth setlist – The Shadow Elite, Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer, Thy Becoming Eternal, Conquer All, The Shit ov God, Ecclesia Diabolica Catholica, Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel, Nomen Barbarvm, Bartzabel, The Return of Darkness and Evil (Bathory cover), Ov Fire and the Void, The Deathless Sun, Chant for Eschaton 2000 and O Father O Satan O Sun!
