17-time Grammy Award winner and best-selling artist Alicia Keys joined American Idol as guest mentor to the Top 3 finalists for their season finale which aired Monday, May 11th at 8 pm ET on ABC and Disney+. Alicia provided world-class guidance, expertise, and inspiration to the young artists as they took the stage for a final chance to earn America’s vote and become the next American Idol.

Additionally, Alicia Keys is commemorating the album that started it all, Songs In A Minor, as June marks a milestone anniversary of the iconic, groundbreaking, and GRAMMY® Award-winning album’s release. In celebration of the anniversary, Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release special 25th Anniversary Editions of the timeless album available on three different shades of vinyl on June 26th.
Songs In A Minor debuted at #1, won 5 Grammys, has been certified 7 times platinum in the U.S. and has sold over 12 million albums worldwide. In addition, the album was entered into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress in 2022. The album’s lead single, “Fallin’,” propelled Keys to global success as the song spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a place on the highly coveted Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade list.
To mark the anniversary, the expanded edition—originally released in limited fashion in 2021 with two bonus tracks—returns in a series of special vinyl configurations. The wide-release edition is pressed on orange marbled vinyl, with the 2LP set featuring bonus studio tracks “Foolish Heart” and “Crazy (Mi Corazon).” An additional version on crystal vin+rose vinyl will be available exclusively at independent retailers, while a crystal clear 2LP version is available exclusively through Alicia Keys’ official artist store.
