Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Anna Graves shows no signs of slowing down in 2026 and, today, announces she is set to release her new album America’s Greatest Burnout on August 21 via Rounder Records – pre-save HERE. In tandem, Graves has also released the album’s resolute title track, “America’s Greatest Burnout,” and its accompanying music video, which further showcase the rising star’s multifaceted artistry and set the tone for her creative vision ahead of the album’s release. Listen to the title track HERE and watch the music video HERE.
Graves has slowly been building a loyal legion of fans, boasting over 65 million global streams and syncs in major TV shows, including the Golden Globe-nominated series Nobody Wants This, the globally top-10-charting drama on Netflix Ripple, as well as Brilliant Minds and Chicken Sisters. Top charting peers have caught on with Shaboozey selecting her 2025 single, “Hollow Bones,” as one of his five favorite songs for Harper’s Bazaar. She’s opened for legends like Stevie Nicks, The Head and the Heart, and Maren Morris, bringing her intimate acoustic storytelling to stages across North America.
In this new project, America’s Greatest Burnout, produced by Davis Naish, Graves embraces the vulnerability that has drawn in fans from the beginning with a remarkably candid and self-aware album, cementing her as a must-hear Americana artist for complicated times. In an era where tech is king, she is a songwriter rooted in the simple joys of nature, drawing inspiration from the pristine countryside of Minnesota, the farm on which she was raised, and the rescue horses she helps to foster.
America’s Greatest Burnout is Graves’ deeply personal autobiography, tracing the last decade of her life with unflinching honesty and heart. Rooted in Americana, Graves seamlessly blends elements of pop, country, and folk to create a sound that feels timeless, raw, and immediate.
“America’s Greatest Burnout is the story of falling off the horse and picking yourself back up again as an adult, and reevaluating what success means to you,” Graves says. “It’s about learning to fall into the dirt, finding the courage to dust yourself off, and getting up to do it all over again…stumbling forward, perhaps a bit scuffed, dirty, and bruised, but wiser and stronger than ever.”
The title track, a lush acoustic number built around Graves’ soaring, emotional vocal, pokes holes in the promises that were made to the young artist by the music industry. “I used to be an angel till I sold my goddamned soul,” she sings, praying for a force of nature — a commanding wild wind — to chart her course back home. Graves shot the visualizer for “America’s Greatest Burnout” on her family’s farm, with one of her rescue horses and a borrowed manual-transmission pickup that she didn’t quite know how to drive. No matter, as she sings with a lilt in one lyric: “Mama didn’t raise no quitter, baby.”
Co-written with songwriter, producer, and mixer Alex Sacco (Elton John, The Struts), Graves is joined on the song by A-list musicians and frequent collaborators Rob Humphreys (Kacey Musgraves, Diplo) on drums, Sean Hurley (Arlo Guthrie) on bass, Rob McNelley (Trisha Yearwood, Luke Combs) on acoustic and electric guitar, and producer Davis Naish (Maggie Rose, Eric Church) on keys.
She began teasing the new album and title track across socials earlier this week with a post featuring the album’s trailer, setting the scene for this morning’s reveal.
