SLR Magazine had our prime coverage spot again at this years annual Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA) show. Held annually at the Avalon Hollywood this show fills a vital gap in the world of award shows by recognizing the world of indie and emerging music artists. Categories of music include a broad span of music such as rock, pop, folk & acoustic, americana, jazz, country classic as well categories overlooked by other awards shows such as hard rock & metal and new categories such as contemporary hip-hop. Now in it’s 4th year this organization has a broad reach and the evening includes an impressive slate of international artists in addition to local and regional favorites from the world of music.
