On Friday July 3rd I was scrolling randomly on Instagram when I came across a flyer promoting Emopendence Day, hosted by Mays Music Management. The venue was Bar 10, inside Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, CA.  As I scanned the flyer to see if I knew any of the bands, I spotted The Marvelous Acceptance on the lineup. I had seen Eric, the vocalist, sometime in the summer of 2025 at The Whisky a go go.  So I reached out to Eric and asked if I could photograph him. He invited two of his good friends along to join him on stage: Eric is the vocalist/guitarist, Lenny plays bass guitar, and Ric kills it on the drum kit.

The energy these three was definitely unmatched and they left that stage in shambles. The crowd undoubtedly fed off their energy. They played a sensational set and the setlist included original songs “Josephine,” “Gravity,” “Can You Hear My Heart,” and a cover of “Mouths like sidewinder missiles”. My favorite was unquestionably “Josephine. The tone, the riffs, and the lyrics were all uncertainly a masterpiece. The song was released in April and is available on all platforms, so go stream it when you get a chance. The year wait to see Eric was absolutely worth the wait, and getting to talk all things music is always a blast.

You need to keep an eye out for The Marvelous Acceptance, he truly has an exceptionally amazing talent. I always get drawn in by guitar riffs, no matter the genre of music, and Eric definitely did just that.  Go follow him on Instagram so you can go see him perform live, you will not regret it.
