Over the last couple of decades Las Vegas has become one of the centers of rock music. As the cost of living and taxes has grown in California several have gone east to enjoy lower taxes along with a lot of corporate gigs. Seizing the opportunity to capture this emerging scene has been Sally Steele, another Hollywood transplant and the founder of Vegas Rocks! Magazine and has become in many ways the first lady of the Vegas rock scene. This year she produced the 8th version of the Vegas Rocks! Awards show and it was quite the impressive evening. Features were major artists various genres from the world of rock, metal, the media and more that included artists and awardees from the likes of Van Halen, Guns & Roses, KISS, Armored Saint, David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar as well as emerging and local artists from the Las Vegas rock scene.
