Breakthrough vocalist and songwriter Emily Ann Roberts is stepping into her next chapter with Thread: a five-song EP that finds a new kind of magic in the timeless sounds and storytelling heritage she’s treasured all her life. Pre-save/pre-add the project, releasing Oct. 16, HERE.
From the opening title track to quietly devastating closer “Laundry,” Thread beams with Roberts’ radiant spirit and effortless charm as she reaches a whole new level of emotional complexity. As a co-writer on every track, Roberts weaves dynamic and deeply emotional stories that honor her Appalachian influences and are even more dazzling set against the bluegrass-tinged instrumentation and time-honored musical traditions Roberts has embraced since childhood.
“This EP is the start of a new chapter that has been in the works since I finished Can’t Hide Country in 2023,” shared Roberts. “Memories, moments, joy, tears, and longing shaped this season, and the new music reflects all of that.”
Roberts recently celebrated her first ever CMA Award nomination, up for New Artist of the Year at the 60th annual ceremony. The new honor underscores a whirlwind year of accolades, including a nomination for ACM New Female Artist of the Year, inclusion in MusicRow Next Big Thing and Opry NextStage classes of 2026, a performance on the VIP Platform stage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest, being named AIMP Nashville Rising Artist-Writer of the Year and MusicRow’s Discovery Artist of the Year, and more.
The firecracker talent has spent most of 2026 splitting time between supporting superstars including Cody Johson and Thomas Rhett while also headlining sold-out shows across the country and hitting high-profile festivals. She’ll join Johnson for a European run later this month, with stops in London, Dublin, Glasgow and additional cities across the U.K. It was recently announced that she will be heading back to C2C Festival in 2027, taking the main stage in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Berlin, and Rotterdam.
