Range Media recording artists, Beau today release their new EP and video Life Twice through their partnership with Virgin Music Label & Artist Services.

Beau’s previous three singles, along with the title track “Life Twice”, have culminated in the beautiful, emotional journey that is the Life Twice EP. Kicking off with the hauntingly beautiful “Hardly Breathing”, Beau’s thoughtful and masterful songwriting immediately come to the forefront with dynamic shifts in instrumentation and intensity. This dynamic shift flows right into the next track, “Into The Night” which starts off with a whisper and slowly builds throughout the song into a huge final chorus. “Life Twice” draws on many of Beau’s inspirations creating an amalgamation of new wave, modern pop, and alternative music with carefully crafted synths, guitar, bass, and of course, powerful vocals. The EP closes with the heart-wrenching, “Even If You’re Gone”, showcasing Beau’s ability to pull on listeners’ emotions while still writing catchy melodies that stick with you, long after the song is over.

Beau says, “Life Twice is an EP about second chances and new beginnings. Endings have to happen for new beginnings to start and we essentially had to finish other bodies of work unconsciously to pop Life Twice out. It really is a post pandemic EP. It feels really good to be able to give this series of music to the world with a perfect ‘beau’ on it.”

Along with the new EP, Beau have released an accompanying music video for the title track “Life Twice”. The vibrantly colorful music video, directed by Brandon Herman, perfectly encapsulates Beau’s aesthetic with intricate lighting and captivating attire.

Beau says, “‘Life Twice’ is a song about trials and tribulations. It’s about a desire to be woken up out of a spell and led in a different direction. There’s a balance that must be maintained in relationships and this song focuses on the feelings that arise when that balance is challenged.”

Beau have received praise for their releases over the past few years from numerous tastemaker publications including: The New York Times, Paper, NME, Noisey, W Magazine, Vanity Fair, and more. Forever was reviewed by Atwood Magazine who said, “Sweetly cinematic and intimately tender, Beau’s radiant new EP is an emphatic, exhilarating return that reminds us both how and why we fell for the NYC duo in the first place: Marrying catchy, colorful indie rock with deeply cathartic emotion, Forever is as vulnerable as it is wondrous: A stirring four-track release that leaves our curiosity piqued and our hearts hungry for more.”

Beau has toured the world opening for acts including the Voidz, Miike Snow, Børns, Edward Sharpe and have become well known staples in the fashion world, performing at fashion shows in Paris for Chloe and in NYC for Rebecca Minkoff.

New York City is known for being the center point for the merging of cultures, a hub for fashion, literature, art, and a fertile breeding ground for music of all genres. Alt-pop duo Beau, singer/songwriters Heather Goldin, and Emma Jenney are the amalgam of all that the artistic community has to offer. From punk rock to folk, to modern pop, Beau’s reputation for creating atmospheric and catchy songs is directly influenced by their eclectic upbringing in NYC. Their music embodies the soul of the city’s musical history pumping through each note.

Meeting at such a tender age allowed them to develop a “sister-like” relationship, with both being born into families active in New York City’s art scene. As the girls grew, and their parents explored their artistic lives as painters, that life exposed them to everything in the arts including musicians and writers solidifying their path towards artistic expression. Music quickly became their creative outlet of choice, deviating from their parents but still creating landscapes in the minds of their listeners with their songs.

In continuing their upward rise, Beau is now readying the release of their third EP, called Life Twice. After seven years and many important musical experiences under their belts, the duo has refined their intricate sound design, coupled with emotive songwriting and masterful musicianship.

The new EP was produced by Beau, with one song being co-produced by Nicolas Vehrnes, and recorded at the famed Electric Lady Studios in NYC, with additional recording at Redbull Studios in LA.

In 2015 they released a self-titled EP and then signed with Kisuné/Sony in France releasing 2016’s debut LP, That Thing Reality.

The next EP Forever saw Beau taking a slightly different musical direction, at Electric Lady Studios and working with a slew of collaborators including producer Nick Brown (Foster the People, Soccer Mommy, The Knocks) and GRAMMY award-winning producers Nicholas Vernhes (War On Drugs) and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow).

After a stint at tastemaker label, Heavy Roc Music where they further honed their musical identity among label mates, Sofi Tukker, Blue DeTiger, and the Knocks, they realized that success on their own terms was what was going to define their future.

Now signed to Range Music/Virgin Music, Beau continues to be inspired by the city they love, created and produced music that represents their young and artistic lives, and are on the cusp of the release of their new EP. Exactly where they need to be!

Metal Mainstays DOPE Release Punishing Music Video For Track “No Respect”

Just over a month after releasing their first official music video for the song “Believe”  (feat. Drama Club, New York City electro metal heads Dope are back with another incredible piece of visual content – this time for their song “No Respect.” The cinematic visual for “No Respect” is a punishing piece that is reminiscent of some of the most-memorable scenes ever caught on film.

Taking pages from Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs or Eli Roth’s Hostel series, the cinematic inspired video depicts a violent interrogation taking place inside of an old garage, which ultimately ends in a fiery conclusion. The scene unfolds as the band performs the nitro-fueled song and Edsel lyrically proclaims: “You get what you deserve And in the end you’ll burn.” The teeth-excising/finger-removing villain is played by Derron Ross – acclaimed Hollywood stuntman and video game visual effects supervisor. Ross has worked on Deadpool, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Apex Legends and Bloodshot to name a few credits. The visually captivating video was directed by Edsel Dope / Co Directed by Matt Zane and can be seen here:

“It’s funny. Most people watching the video will assume that Derron is playing the role of a villain, but he’s actually playing the hero,”  Says Edsel.  “The guy that we set on fire was guilty of some deplorable shit. In the end,  he got what he deserved.”

Blood Money Part Zer0 is the band’s first release in 7 years and is the follow up to 2016’s highly successful Blood Money Part 1, which debuted at #27 on the Billboard top 200, selling over 15K units in its first week. Dope has sold more than a million combined albums and have amassed an incredible audience of nearly 2-million monthly listeners on Spotify, while racking up more than 100 million plays on their cult classic “Die MF Die.” In a move to demonstrate the bands sincere appreciation to their loyal fanbase for more than 2 decades, the band is giving away Blood Money Part Zer0 for FREE digitally. Longtime fans, curious listeners and people that enjoy gratis music can sign up to download the album for free on the band’s website. A physical pre-order will also be available on the band’s website for fans that want to purchase the new album in various physical available here:

Dope recently released an introspective infomercial, which doubled as a behind the scenes look into the real life of Edsel, his private life, and his many ventures outside of Dope. A very private person, virtually inactive on social media, Edsel is intentionally secretive about what he does with his time between records and tours. This video serves as a direct message to the fans, inviting them to see behind the curtain of the mysterious man, who’s creativity they have supported for years. In the end, the video is ultimately an introduction to Blood Money Part Zer0 and will feature teaser clips from the upcoming music videos for “Believe” and “No Respect,” but is also so much more.

Dope will be touring in 2023 in support of Blood Money Part Zer0 as part of the Rise Of The Machine Tour with Static-X and Fear Factory. The 42-date trek kicks off February 25, 2023, in San Francisco, CA and wraps up April 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets for all stops on the Rise Of The Machine Tour can be found at:

Dope have spent the last 25 years delivering their uncompromising message to the masses. Through their six previous studio albums, the band has never pulled punches with their music or their message. The band made a name for themselves around New York City and eventually signed with Epic Records for their debut. The sophomeore album Life spawned the track “Die MF Die” which has become a staple in basic training and garnered the band a dedicated military following from that introduction. The band has also found mainstream success through their inclusion in various movie soundtracks and wrestling integrations specifically with the WWE. At a time when music trends changed, Dope continued to maintain their relevance with their audience through direct fan correspondence. This relationship garners Dope approximately 1.7 million monthly listeners, puts them in the top 1% of all streaming artists and a dedicated following that most people are unaware of to this day. As the band gets ready to launch in to the next 25 years of their career with Blood Money Part Zer0, the world needs the brutal honesty that Edsel and Dope have come to be known for.

Albuquerque’s Metal Powerhouse Illumina A.D. Premieres “Suffer”

Founded by rhythm guitarist Alexander Bane in 2011, Illumina A.D. is a five-piece metal powerhouse hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their name, which translates to “Light After Death,” hints at the group’s desire to fuse the brutal with the beautiful.

Illumina A.D. breaks back into the scene in serendipitous fashion. As though this band’s name truly represents the journey traveled across a decade, Light after death.

After a hiatus from the public, founders Alexander Bane and Justin Cavis continued working and in 2019 found their commanding vocalist, Jerry Cappadona Jr.. At that moment, they saw a new direction and rebirth of the fire that pressed the band forward. As the new trio began reworking through some of Alexander’s expansive compositions, new bassist and brother to Jerry, Kenny Cappadona, joined—bringing his wild seven string bass and deeply technical approach to groove with him.

Rounding out this quintet is face-melting melodic-shredmaster, Justin Ennis. The addition of bassist and lead guitar of the highest echelon caliber has completely rounded and filled out Bane’s thrash opuses.

Beneath the growing catalogue of these lifelong musicians is a simmering chaos reined in by front man Jerry Cappadona Jr., bringing a dynamic sense of melody and dramatic flair. The complexity of Bane’s writing is only amplified by the poetry and observations of Cappadona. This first release of this maniacal quintet “Suffer” takes no prisoners and from the first moment grabs at the listener, brash and greedily. Paired with their self-produced video, the song rains dramatically on the viewer with an aural assault and teases of the outright lunacy brought to live stages. “Beautiful and brutal” has been said of this band’s previous incarnations—may have been true before, now as this cadre of madmen there is no doubt.”

Alexander “Bane” Lackey explains, ‘Suffer’  is the first music to be released with our new lineup. The video is self-produced. I directed and edited it myself . I shot the video on June 18th during a private show we put on for a select few friends and family – out in the New Mexico desert during a monsoon rainstorm. It was our first show since September 2017, when we played a benefit show for victims of Hurricane Harvey.”

Alexander Bane continues with‘Suffer’ is such an important song to me for so many reasons. Not only does ‘Suffer’ represent the growth and the survival of the band in the face of insurmountable odds; but its also manifestation of all the hard work and incredible luck it took to completely rebuild my life from scratch, after enduring an insane amount of personal tragedy and turmoil. ‘Suffer’ is the song we used to audition Jerry as our singer. I remember he came in, and he had this chorus, which is the chorus you hear on the song now, and I remember listening to it initially and thinking “he took the toxicity and the abuse and all the ugliness everyone deals with and he romanticized it in a way that caught me completely off guard. I loved it instantly.”

Vocalist Jerry Cappadona, Jr. says “I wrote this as an exploration of a couple in the throws of a tumultuous and willingly violent relationship. ‘You are my weakness. I am your scars. I am your weakness. You are my scars. Now smile. Smile. As the Suffering starts.’ When Alexander and I finished recording the first scratch vocal tracks, he slowly pulled off his headphones, looked into space a few moments and deadpan said to me. “Dude….. that was romantic….. you’re a fucking sick person.”

Justin Cavis adds This song to me is the perfect example of suffering. It took us years to get everything down, (mostly because of line up changes and working out the perfect parts and also some of the things we went through as a band during the recording process), and to come out with a result that is finally satisfactory and with band members that actually have a passion for the song and all music that we are working on. I’m sure some of that suffering might not end completely but it surely has to be easier than what we went through to get this song to where it is today. It’s truly the end result of all the suffering we went through. It’s also a bad ass song because of all that work.

Justin Ennis says “‘Suffer’ to me represents the low points in life that you have to overcome to to get to the better things. You have to suffer through low points in order to grow and become a better ‘you’. You cannot grow until you shed your skin of the things that are holding you back. We suffer by doing the things that hurt us in order for things to be better in the end. Sometimes we have to make others suffer by ridding ourselves of them if they are holding us back or damaging us in some way.”

Kenny Cappadona reveals To me it’s a song about our innate draw to the darkness and the suffering it brings, but can we learn to get by if we learn to have scars? By learning to live and forgive who we are.”

Nathan Joseph, who co-produced, recorded and mixed shares “A great song sticking to the traditions of arena/thrash metal with some twists. The song intros on a subdued section, then bursts to life; all the while maintaining intensity and fluidity throughout. If you like heavy guitars, big choruses, and screaming leads, you have found your place. Been a pleasure working with all the members in Illumina AD. Honorable mention to Alexander Bane for continuous involvement up to the final day of mastering.”

Suffer” was engineered /mixed by Nathan Joseph at Liquid Halo Studios in ABQ,NM. Mastering was performed by Tony Lingren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.”

About Illumina A.D.:

“I grew up on Metal. When I was 7 years old, I listened to “The Unforgiven,” by Metallica, and I was hooked on metal ever since. James Hetfield has always been my biggest inspiration, and metal my biggest passion. I also draw a lot of inspiration from Melodic Death Metal bands. Soilwork being my favorite. Followed by In Flames, Amon Amarth, and bands like Sylosis, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, AC/DC and a ton of other bands that run the gamut from classic rock to modern metal.

I am a self taught guitar player and have been playing for 17 years. I do not consider myself a great musician. I just love writing music.”  – Alexander Bane

“I’ve been playing for 22 years, my influences are Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, Children of Bodom, System of a Down, Kiss, Foghat, Iron Maiden, Grand Funk Railroad, Exodus, Dream Theater, Motley Crue, Dio, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Rush, August Burns Red, and Slayer. I love Vinny Appice, Vinny Paul, Neal Peart, Nicolas McBrain, Tom Hunting, Taylor Hawkins, Ian Paice, John Bonham, Bill Ward and I could go on, but I won’t. My style is me.”  – Justin Cavis

“Been playing 22 years, influences are Marty Friedman, John Petrucci, Chris Impelliterri, Akira Takasaki, Inspired by Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, style is melodic technical lead (I guess?), Not sure who I would compare to stylistically.  – Justin Ennis

“I’ve been playing bass for 27 years…playing music for 32 in total.  John Myung, John Patitucci, Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan and Steve Harris are my main influences. Picking up bass was because my brother Jerry picked up guitar and also cuz I loved Mike Dirnt in Green Day back in the day.

My style is very classical influenced with melodic legato a mainstay on my riffs but playing live very much like Steve Harris and John Entwistle with my dwarf ham hock fingers thunder stomping the strings. As such I’d compare myself to Steve Harris or John Myung tryin to keep up with metal picking techniques via finger style.” –  Kenny Cappadona

“Raised on Americana in all its forms, rock, folk, blues, r&b, I fell in Love with Melodies as a child. Started studying music and instruments in grade school, to hear my father tell the story, I played a solo in a elementary band performance and he said ‘you could see the applause had changed him.’

15th birthday I was given two of the greatest gifts ever, a guitar and a ticket to see Kiss live on the full make up reunion. From then on I was full bore head down going to figure this shit out. Went to a performance high school studying various forms of music and performance and took off early to study the same at a conservatory in New York City, graduating at 19 years old. In the following years I delved as deeply as possible into any, ANY, stage that I could force my way onto. I’ve never given a shit what the performance was as long as I could set fire to myself and burn under the lights. Seriously, from Shakespeare to tap dancing egg asshole to folk rock solo guy and all the weirdness in between. Fast forward 20 years and several countries later I am reunited with my brother for this project in Illumina A.D. I’ve had the honor of working for and with some truly prodigious musicians and there isn’t a close second to the depths of what Kenny knows and does. Truly a sick individual. This project has allowed for the writing of darker poetry and bringing to life melodies within Alexander’s epic lyrics painted canvases. Looking forward to exploring the various ‘touches of grey’ that fill out our silver linings. Kenny, Alexander, Justin 1, Justin 2, let’s fucking go. ”  – Jerry Cappadona, Jr.

Boundaries Release Title Track from “Burying Brightness”

Boundaries, the Hartford-based band whose forthcoming album Burying Brightness (Oct. 14, 3DOT Recordings) was described by Revolver as “steeped in metalcore greatness… packed with soaring guitar leads and anthemic clean vocals,” offer up a third and final preview of the forthcoming album with release of the 12-song album’s title track.

“We utilized their voices for the first time,” Matt McDougal said of the band’s fresh approach to the album. “There’s definitely a new dynamic. We focused on writing some choruses. We made it a little prettier and calmer, changing up the listening experience. We wanted to use all of the tools we have at our disposal on this record. We didn’t leave anything out.”

Boundaries wrote the bulk of Burying Brightness in the studio, reuniting with Your Receding Warmth producer Randy Leboeuf [The Acacia Strain, Kublai Khan] at Graphic Nature Audio.

“Our goal is to write exactly the kinds of songs we want to with no barriers,” guitar player Cory Emond explains. “I feel like we did that. We’ve always wanted to have songs with singing, but we were never able to capture it until now. We also have some of the heaviest songs we’ve ever written. It has both extremes.”

The band previously previewed the 12-song album with “Realize and Rebuild” and “Heaven’s Broken Heart” . Brooklyn Vegan said the single is “a great example” of the band “bringing in more clean vocals without toning down the aggression.” Boundaries previously announced that McDougal is now sharing vocal duties with drummer Tim Sullivan and bass player Nathan Calcagno.

Burying Brightness track list:

1.    It Begins To Speak

2.    Your Own Murder

3.    This Is What It’s Like

4.    Heaven’s Broken Heart

5.    No One Will Mourn You Here

6.    Resent and Regret

7.    Realize and Rebuild

8.    My Body is a Cage

9.    –

10. It Was Built to Break

11. Burying Brightness

12. The Tower

Album pre-orders, which include several limited-edition vinyl variants as well as collectible bundles, are available here.

Boundaries is Cory Emond (guitar), Cody Delvecchio (guitar), Tim Sullivan (drums/vocals), Nathan Calcagno (bass/vocals) and Matthew McDougal (vocals). The Hartford-based band have released a pair of EPs: Hartford County Misery (2017) and My Body In Bloom (2019), as well as the full-length album, Your Receding Warmth (2020). Brooklyn Vegan said Your Receding Warmth “positions Boundaries as fresh new faces of the metalcore revival that birthed Code Orange, Knocked Loose, Vein, and a quickly-growing number of other great bands.”

EPICA Announce New EP “The Alchemy Project” Out November 11

Release New Music Video “The Final Lullaby” feat. Shining

Always pushing forward, always aiming higher: In the 20 years of their existence, EPICA have never shied away from challenges, twists and turns, weathering every storm and pushing the symphonic metal genre to heights no one even dared to believe in. Since 2002, the band surrounding global metal icon Simone Simons and her long-time musical partner Mark Jansen have released eight highly innovative and cinematic albums, have toured the world over and have left their mark as one of metal’s most prolific, most cherished and most admired success stories forever.

With “The Alchemy Project”, out on November 11th through Atomic Fire Records, EPICA set another highlight in the band’s 20th anniversary year! Graced by a vivid and witty artwork by graphic wizard Heilemania, visual partner in crime for more that 15 years, EPICA embark on a journey through seven extraordinary new songs. Co-written and performed with diverse guests ranging from extremists like Fleshgod Apocalypse, Niilo Sevänen (Insomnium) and Björn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork) via melodic masters like Tommy Karevik (Kamelot), keyboard legend Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep) or Roel van Helden (Powerwolf) to a once-in-a-lifetime song with Simone Simons, Charlotte Wessels and Myrkur, EPICA have really outdone themselves once again. The result is a mind-bending EP that even surpasses the usual broad scope of an EPICA record.

The first track they wrote for this 7-track-offering was ‘The Final Lullaby’, a fast-paced, intense clash between EPICA and the avant-garde rock of Norwegian legends SHINING (with saxophone!), graced with one of the biggest refrains you will hear all year. “I’ve been a big fan of Shining since the first time I heard them,” bassist Rob van der Loo weighs in. “Our intention with ‘The Final Lullaby’ was to make a mash-up between Epica and Shining so we thought it would be a good idea if I would come up with some riffs that would be typical Shining and they would do the complete opposite.”

These 7 songs on “The Alchemy Project” were co-written and performed with the following renowned guest musicians:

1) The Great Tribulation feat. Fleshgod Apocalypse

2) Wake the World feat. Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep) & Tommy Karevik (Kamelot)

3) The Final Lullaby feat. Shining

4) Sirens – Of Blood and Water feat. Charlotte Wessels & Myrkur

5) Death is not the End feat. Frank Schiphorst (MaYaN) & Björn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork)

6) Human Devastation feat. Henri Sattler (God Dethroned), Sven de Caluwé (Aborted)

7) The Miner feat. Asim Searah (Damnation Plan), Niilo Sevänen (Insomnium), Roel van Helden (Powerwolf)

“The Alchemy Project” is now available for worldwide pre-order as digipak CD, LP or digitally, via this link:

Thousand Below Unleash New Single and Music Video “Face to Face”

Hailing from San Diego, California, post-hardcore quartet Thousand Below have today unleashed their new single and music video for Face To Face (directed by Amber Paredes). The band has also announced their new signing to Pale Chord Music, home of other outstanding artists including Spiritbox and America’s Got Talent contestant, Harper. Speaking on today’s news, vocalist James Deberg shares:

We’re absolutely thrilled to have signed with Pale Chord and to be putting out music with a great label again. We felt that Face to Face was the perfect track to announce our partnership with PC and to begin Chapter 3 of our band’s journey.

We wanted to come out the gate with something high-energy & in your face, as well as something that was a bit different from what we usually do–while keeping the essence of Thousand Below clear and in focus.

It’s been a long time since we began an album cycle and we’re ecstatic to get the ball rolling.

Be on the lookout for our 3rd album announcement coming very soon, but until then, we hope you all enjoy our new single “Face to Face”.”

Thousand Below’s vulnerable, ambient, yet ultimately hopeful self-examination of loss, life and healing is an enduring theme resonating in the band’s signature sound. The range within their genre is an homage to the band’s intimate experience through the stages of grief. The American quartet– James DeBerg [vocals], Josh Thomas [guitar], Josh Billimoria [Bass], and Max Santoro [drums]– descend into the visceral anger and raw anguish echoing throughout their lyrically-jarring debut album The Love You Let Too Close (Rise Records), followed by the somber instrumentation of an ultimately quieter emotional discourse in their sophomore album Gone In Your Wake (Rise Records).

SPIRITWORLD announce “Deathwestern” album and drop new video

On November 25th, Las Vegas metallic riff-riders, SPIRITWORLD, will release their 2nd studio album, DEATHWESTERN via Century Media Records. Today, the band reveal the title track, which is available to stream HERE and comes accompanied by a mini western horror movie video, directed by Todd Hailstone.

In August, the band revealed another new track, Moonlit Torture, featuring Dwid Hellion of Integrity.

Stu Folsom (SPIRITWORLD‘s leader and mastermind) comments:

“Super stooooooked to announce our new single and video DEATHWESTERN will be out! I started writing our new album right when I finished Pagan Rhythms. At that point, I had been playing guitar everyday for about a year and it was – no joke – the highlight of my days. Just banger riff after banger riff jumping out of the Viper Blood Tele.  It took six months to get four songs together that I thought could stand up to Pagan. Then I knew I had another full length. This was the 4th song I wrote and it became the title track and our partner in crime and A&R extraordinaire, Mike Gitter’s favourite. When we finished tracking, I vividly remember getting chills.  The intro whammys are 100% intentional White Zombie worship. ‘La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1’ was SUCH an important record for me. From samples, to groove, to incorporating horror into metal… definitely one of the most influential albums of my youth. I’m following that blueprint still. Always have. Can’t wait for this video to drop… finally!

The restless Stu Folsom (leader of SPIRITWORLD) is also pleased to announce the release of his book Godlessness, which will also be released on November 25th.

The book is a collection of short stories, inspired in equal parts by the western pulp of Louis L’Amour, the novels of Cormac McCarthy, and the twisted horror of Clive Barker, Godlessness is the fictional companion piece of SPIRITWORLD’s debut Pagan Rhythms (2021) and upcoming follow up, DEATHWESTERN (2022).

Dedicated to the memory of, and edited in part by, Power Trip’s Riley Gale, who died unexpectedly in 2020, Godlessness was initially released as a limited-edition paperback.  The book will be available to pre-order through Rare Bird Lit, who also have the collectable formats below.

SPIRITWORLD emerged in 2017 as a musical outlet for Folsom’s love of punk, outlaw country and metal. SPIRITWORLD’s earliest efforts took a decidedly outlaw roots punk bent. Yet, it was with the full-metal direction taken on the initially self-released Pagan Rhythms, (re-released in 2021 through SPIRITWORLD’s new label home, Century Media) that won the band international acclaim. Daniel P. Carter, BBC 1 DJ and curator of The Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter, as well as the likes of Exodus/Slayer guitarist Gary Holt and former Sepultura/current Soulfly leader Max Cavalera sang the album’s praises on their social media, discovering the band on word-of-mouth alone.

The band hit European stages in October with hardcore legends Agnostic Front on their ‘Get Loud! Tour’.

Dirty O’Keeffe Drop New EP “Heavy Water”

Plus Title Track Visualizer For “Heavy Water”

Rock supergroup Dirty O’Keeffe (consisting of members Christian Martucci of Stone Sour, Billy Gould of Faith No More, Dave Raun of Lagwagon, and Steve Shepard of Trash N’ Privilege) have today dropped their new EP, ‘Heavy Water’ (with artwork done by The Offspring‘s Jonah Nimoy). In celebration of the release, the band also released the visualizer for the EP title track Heavy Water. Speaking on today’s news, guitarist and vocalist Christian Martucci shares:

I’m so glad Dave called me to be a part of this. I had a great time working with everyone. There was no overthinking and no agenda… just friends making noise. I loved every minute of it.

Billy Gould commented: ”The pandemic had a few bright spots for me… and this was one. Great bunch of guys who went into this with genuine enthusiasm. What’s not to like?

Dave Raun said: “Having had played with all these guys separately before, I was really excited about us all being a part of the same project. We just made music we wanted to make with zero pressure or expectation and lots of laughs. Everybody just brought their thing to the table and it’s a perfect blend.

Steve Shepard also chimed in: “I have no idea how I fooled these guys to play music with me. Every step of the process, from planning to writing to recording, has been a blast.

2. Crunchy Bass for Breakfast
