Los Angeles experienced a heavy flurry of rainstorms during the week of KAMI KEHOE’S show. Some parts of LA had flood warnings. Cars and trucks were getting stuck on some roads everywhere. Even on the day of KAMI’s show, some rain trickled in during the early part of the morning, but eventually cleared up by mid-day.

As a music photographer and writer/contributor for S.L.R. MAGAZINE, I was assigned to the task of covering KAMI KEHOE’S SOLD OUT SHOW at The Roxy on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
One of the best things about being a music photographer is sometimes I get to see and hear new artists such as KAMI KEHOE and support act BRAYTON whose music by both artists were intoxicating to say the least, showcasing powerful emotive expressions of wild non-stop action and explosive performances by both artists.
THE FANS:
KAMI KEHOE’S loyal and devout fans stood in line early right after the storm, but were all greeted with strong winds and cold weather. These die-hards, who bought VIP tickets with Meet and Greet, didn’t stop them from lining up early from extreme cold weather (fyi, cold in LA means 60 degrees farenheit…don’t get me started on this, Ha!). As part of the M&G experience, each VIP received a swag bag full of goodies and a photo/selfie with KAMI.
Oftentimes, I would come in early to meet with fans to find out more about them and where they are from and add them to my article. This evening, not only did I meet die hard fans, but I also got to meet some family members and a friend of KAMI. So here’s a BIG SHOUT OUT to the fans/friends/and family members:
- Angie and Haily from the Inland Empire who drove a good hour and half away (maybe more) to see their favorite artist. Kudos to the both of you.
- Maeve from the Mountains of Wrightwood also drove about an hour and half away just to see her fave. Right on.
- Patrick all the way down from San Diego. Way cool for supporting KAMI.
- MAR, a social and event coordinator and influencer and a huge fan of KAMI. Thank you for all your wonderful compliments regarding my photography work. You are so sweet and awesome.
- Amanda, a fan and a photographer, came to support not as a Media photographer but as a fan on this night armed only with her iPhone and still captured some amazing stuff.
- Uncle Saul and Auntie Monique who came up and talked to me and filmed me as well on their iPhone when they saw me with my cameras. They gave me a little background about their niece. According to both, KAMI had a band in her early childhood days along with her sisters called THE PINK FURS. Thank you to Uncle Saul as well for doing an improv rap in front of me. The entire KAMI clan is apparently extremely talented in music. Wish I could’ve recorded that one.
- Andy from Portland. A Videographer and friend of KAMI who also represents his company called BELLOS AUDIO (www.bellosaudio.com). As a former PNW guy myself, though not native, it’s always great seeing and meeting PNW people because they really are just the coolest people. Can’t wait to see some of Andy’s BTS clips KAMI.
BRAYTON – The Support Act.
As a music photographer and lover of all arts and music, I am very open minded when it comes to listening or seeing new artists on the rise. BRAYTON quickly made a great impact on me with his explosive performance. A high powered singer, his music features a blend of alternative rock, hard rock and emo that appeals to all kinds of music lovers due to lyrics being relatable and emotional with some edgy and hard riffs and catchy melodies.
He and his band’s performance was a non-stop adrenaline action show from beginning to the end with lots of high flying jumps and kicks and head banging by both him and his guitarist, Cameron whom I had the pleasure of meeting along with his girlfriend while waiting for my credentials at the box office. BRAYTON showed a lot of love for all the fans on this night by making sure they were also part of his act by getting down on the stage at one point and performing for them, up close and personal.
A true performer with the love of his craft, he showed us what every artist and musician should do when it comes to performing LIVE in front of the audience: don’t just give the music to the fans but show authenticity, meaning, and love along with the music by making the audience be part of the show. This young man, originally from Jupiter Florida, is going to go places among the stars of the universe. Made a fan out of me from this night.

KAMI KEHOE – The Headliner, A SOLD OUT SHOW
If there is one statement I can say about KAMI KEHOE on this night, it is this one: “KAMI KILLED IT!”
This young woman in her early 20’s is an up and coming artist who has garnered over a million followers on her Instagram account. She is becoming or has already made a great impact in the music scene. I first heard of KAMI KEHOE from a photographer and follower of mine on Instagram from The East Coast (@devilsden_photography). Impressed with her music videos on YouTube, I needed to get a glimpse of this artist’s performance on stage. Thankfully, the opportunity came in my neck of the woods. Hopefully after selling out The Roxy, KAMI KEHOE will become a household name in the world of music.
The moment the curtains were pulled up, screams of adulation can be heard all across the City of West Hollywood. The fans showed no mercy for their love and support of KAMI! The screams from all of her fans became so deafening at one point that I needed a new pair of ear plugs.
KAMI’s showmanship was so powerful, filled with raw and emotional moments, from high flying jumps to sweet rage of singing, as if she were serenading to each individual fan. She owned the stage of The Roxy, making sure each fan section got the same love from her raw and emotional performance.
KAMI is a dynamic artist who plays the drums as well. But not only does she play the drums, but she plays and sings at the same time on some of her songs. This feat is one of the most difficult acts to do as a musician, to be able to sing and play drums at the same time without missing a beat. THAT IS HARD and she does this effortlessly and on point. What can I say except, WOW!
Dark and vulnerable at times, her intense music and strong vocals delivered a side that every music fan and human being can relate to from love to heartbreaks to life’s everyday challenges. Her unique artistic style in writing and singing can be heard and seen through an amalgamation of different genres from Pop to Hip-Hop to Alternative Rock to Emo to Hard Rock. Anyone and everyone will be able to relate and enjoy this unique blend of music; it will literally melt in one’s ears as they did in mine. Her warm and emotional voice and presence were felt by every single person including me. Made a huge fan of me on this night and can not wait to see more of KAMI in the future.

IN CONCLUSION:
The night was full of deep emotional connections by fans and the artists. A memorable experience for me. Great music. Non-stop action. Amazing fans. Definitely on my watch list and can not wait to see more of KAMI KEHOE and BRAYTON live on stage.
