Lead vocalist Becky Brideau talks about the release of their new EP, stating, “Deception takes our music to a new level while maintaining our core sound. The songs are heavier with more progressive elements and the EP as a whole is much more aggressive than our previous one.”

In conjunction with the release of Deception, Dystopica has also released music videos for “Narcissist” and “For You”. The moody visuals of both are a perfect pairing for the intensity of the songs’ lyrics and melodies.

Formed in 2019, Dystopica is made up of Becky Brideau on vocals, Rob Muller on guitars, and Erich Bender on drums. Also, featured on Deception is Nick Bellmore on bass. The band’s unique sound is a perfect blend of melodic, harmonizing guitar riffs and powerful female vocals while still pulling influences from classic heavy metal.
