Once a year fans of electronic dance music (EDM) are reminded that Detroit is where techno originally started in the 1980’s when Movement Electronic Music Festival comes to Hart Plaza. Each year thousands of people come to Detroit for one of the world’s longest running EDM festivals. People from around the world flock to the city on Memorial Day weekend. For the 2023 edition there will be over 115 artists playing on 6 stages over three action packed days in the heart of Downtown Detroit.
With that many artists it is no surprise to have some huge names such as Skrillex, Three 6 Mafia, Kaskade, Zeds Dead, and Basement Jaxx on the lineup. If three days of amazing dance music aren’t enough there are also 13 official pre-parties and 12 official afterparties around the city! If you are a huge fan of EDM you probably already have your tickets but if you’re looking for an adventure for Memorial Day weekend, consider picking up one-day or weekend General Admission or VIP tickets ASAP! The festival runs Saturday through Monday starting at 2pm each day and running until Midnight Saturday and Sunday and 11pm on Monday night.
