Skyforger at Saldus Saule Open Air Festival 2024 Latvian Folk/Pagan Metal Band did amazing sound and light show at this Festival. Band returned to the festival stage after 10 year gap with a lot of touring experience, metal music blended with Latvian folklore music elements and a large fan base. No doubts, lot of people were at Festival just to see Skyforger since band is spending lot of time in studio this year. Upcoming album we can expect in spring of 2025, will include 11 songs rooted in Latvian folklore fables and beliefs – as expected from band, whose songs are based on historic events of the Baltic Sea region and worldviews of the local nations. Opening song was Senprūsija / Old Prussia, followed by Senču Ozols / The Ancient Oak, Ķēves dēls / The Son of The Mare, Melnais jātnieks / Black Rider, Tagad vai nekad / Now or Never, Divi brāļi / Two Brothers, Assinslauks / Bloodfield, Pērkoņkalve / Thunderforge, Jūras dziesma / Sea Song, Kauja pie Plakaniem / Battle Of Plakani. End of show was stamped by recent single Lec, eglīte / Jump, Fir Tree and Kad Ūsiņš jāj / When Ūsiņš Rides as encore. Skyforger will play this year at Menuo Juodragis Festival in Lithuania August 23 and for first time in Denmark, Copenhagen September 28. Official website: www.skyforger.lv
