On Thursday, November 21, 2024 in front of a jam packed audience
Saddle Up Pardners!!! “There’s a new Sheriff in Town” and there are five of them. These new Sheriffs are called THE MIDNIGHT COWGIRLS and they are currently seeking new frontiers as they pioneer across North America to showcase and strut their stuff.
Their music is described as an “electrifying mix of country, new wave, post punk and rockabilly,” [Source: https://www.themidnightcowgirls.com/ ] all blended into one dynamic group of super talented musicians. The band consists of five super talented musicians who will seduce you with their smiles, while serenading and captivating you with their electrifying sounds of country music rock with its unique flair as previously described.
The Ladies of THE MIDNIGHT COWGIRLS reside from all over North America from San Diego, CA; to Los Angeles, CA; to Long Island, NY; to Montreal and Ontario Canada . Despite the fact that they al live so far away from each other, they manage to come together as one unit and are able to perform and play together cohesively and flawlessly on stage as if they see each other everyday and practicing together every other day perfecting their skills together as one. On this night, it was all very perfect. Flawless as I said before.

One of the best things about being a music photographer and not just a Rock Music Photographer is that I get to experience new and different genres of music all the time because I love music and I love musicians.
On this night, I got to experience my very first Country Rock Music Extravaganza, all thanks to The Amazing Multi-instrumentalist, Marhly whom I have had the pleasure of photographing her live set in the past with her own band when she performed for Women Rock LA in the Summer of 2023
As I have said previously, Marlhy was a Fill-In for Leah Bluestein who is/was on tour with her other band. As an experienced and very talented musician, Marlhy did not skip a beat at all on this night. It’s as if she has been playing with THE MIDNIGHT COWGIRLS for a very long time.
The other members of THE MIDNIGHT COWGIRLS did not disappoint at all as well. They danced. They laughed. They smiled. They pranced around while maintaining to the great beat of their music and performance. The audience were in ecstatic and full of smiles as well. But more importantly, THE MIDNIGHT COWGIRLS SADDLED UP AND ROCKED The City of Hollywood on this night. Their performance was so EPIC on a small stage that they even had two guest artists whom they invited to perform with them LIVE on stage: SLIM JIM PHANTOM of The Great Rockabilly Group called STRAY CATS and JESSE HUGHES aka @fatherbadass of IG.
Overall, this night was just pure fun and joy; and full of laughters and smiles by everyone. It’s always good to see something new for me to add on to my arsenal of work.
