LA based Gritty in Pink closed out 2024 with a great year-end holiday event and jam on Dec 16th at the fashionable cool Peppermint Club venue in West Hollywood. SLR Magazine was there to capture this music and awards event that featured an impressive bill of local and nationally touring women artists from the Gritty In Pink roster. Then diversity of talent was in high gear as the full-house was treated to music that ranged from pop, hip-hop, rock and metal. The gallery of images below gives a snippet of the talent and performances from this evening.
Gritty In Pink was started by artist, activist and entrepreneur Shira Yevin is a collective that fosters and promotes women artists within the music industry, performers, DJ’s, creative audio & visual professionals and more to help attain better parity, diversity and inclusion with respect to women in music. Previous artists such as Sarah McLachlan trailblazed women’s music with events like the Lilith Fair in the early-2000’s. Gritty serves as a one-stop shop for anything and everything relating to female creative talent.
