Maintaining its position as the 4th longest running show on Broadway, Wicked continues to break records in the theatre and on the charts. Originally released in December 2003, Wicked: Original Broadway Cast Recording has sold over 5 million copies to date worldwide.
Wicked is a world-renowned musical with music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The show is loosely adapted from the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, “WICKED: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.” Maguire was inspired by the literary classic by L. Frank Baum, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Since its first show on Broadway in October 2003, Wicked has been seen by over 65 million people and played in 16 countries. Cherished by millions, Wicked is one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time. With the recent release of the live-action film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the Broadway phenomenon has shared itself with an even larger fan base and continues to draw audiences to its stages.
