Mom+Pop Music artist, metal, alt-rock powerhouse singer and songwriter, Violent Vira, releases new single, “Common Decency”. Her previous singles, “Burn Me With A Bible”, “Saccharine.”, “I Don’t Care” (64MM+ streams on Spotify (100K+ streams/day) and “God Complex” have collectively surpassed 100 million global streams over the last year.

The new song is the precursor to the new LP, out on November 14, 2025, entitled Lover of a Ghost.

LISTEN TO “Common Decency”

“Common Decency” is a hard-hitting rock track with her signature soaring vocal delivery, piercing listeners. The song tells the frustration that can exist in a relationship where two people are not at all on the same page emotionally: “Common decency, the principle still takes two, and the feelings from the start still permeate it still consumes me, and I don’t wanna spill my heart just to bleed so why can’t you just say it first.”

Vira says, “It’s really about the dance of two lovers wanting to admit love out loud but being terrified to be first, and then the tug of war, wondering who will say it first, along with the pride inside wanting it to be the other person!”

The new LP, Lover of a Ghost, explores relationships in all their forms: friendship, family, partners, interwoven with Vira’s life experiences, including her Mexican heritage, fronting an all-male band, and the reality of everyday existence for this 20-something young woman.

Song titles include “Chasing Ghosts”, S.E.X. Narcissist, EAT, and previously released singles, “Saccharine” and “Burn Me With A Bible”.

Vira talks about the LP: “The creation of the album was adjacent to the music itself. Making the record was the best time of my life, yet it was also the lowest. Whether it’s falling in love or falling into despair, it’s those experiences that shape us, and it’s those moments that birthed this album,” she continues, “So it’s like a reminder that life is worth living in every shape and form it comes in. Our “ghost” only has so many years in this physical form we call bodies, so every moment we’re alive is precious. I hope that whoever listens to the album finds pieces of themselves and the reasons they have to live.”

Vira’s voice has been compared to Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Kittie’s Morgan Lander.

Violent Vira starts another leg of touring, beginning on November 3rd with

key stops in NYC/Brooklyn, Philadelphia, DC, Denver, Salt Lake City and Seattle, to name a few.

Violent Vira performed to packed audiences on the festival circuit this past summer, including notable performances at RiotFest, After Shock and Louder Than Life. She has previously toured with Aberdeen is Dead and will continue to bring inspiring live performances to every stage she graces.
