Southern California punk band Heartwells has announced an exciting new chapter: a partnership with City Rat Records for their upcoming European tour alongside labelmates Empired. The run will mark Heartwells’ first full European outing, bringing their explosive live energy overseas this winter.
The announcement follows the release of their new standalone single “Killin Me Now” — a high-octane dose of melodic aggression and emotional urgency — and their recent 6-song EP Ollie, released this past July via HEY!FEVER Records.

ABOUT OLLIE
Recorded at Buzzbomb Studios in Orange, CA with longtime producer Paul Miner, Ollie captures Heartwells at their most urgent and unfiltered. Two of the songs were written on the spot in the studio, a move that guitarist/vocalist JT describes as “both exciting and stressful — but exactly what this record needed.” The EP was mastered by Chris Hesse (Hoobastank) and balances raw emotion with precision and punch.
The title Ollie nods to both the band’s skatepunk roots and the dog on the cover — bassist Moki’s pup, Ollie — a playful contrast to the record’s darker lyrical themes of personal struggle, family dynamics, and social unrest.
LOOKING AHEAD
With Ollie turning heads and “Killin Me Now” showcasing their melodic ferocity, Heartwells are primed for their most ambitious run yet. Their upcoming European tour with Empired will unite two of Southern California’s most vital punk voices, now both part of the City Rat family.
