CLOUDIAN’s concert in Paris last Sunday felt like the kind of night people will look back on and say, “That’s where it all began.” For their very first Europe tour, the band stepped onto the Paris stage and from the moment the first note hit, the room was theirs.

The atmosphere inside the venue was pulsing. Fans packed near the stage, some longtime supporters, others discovering CLOUDIAN for the first time. When the lights dropped, the cheers were instant, intimate, and electric in a way only small venues can create.

They opened strong. Brighten, the vocalist, moved effortlessly despite the tight stage, hyping the crowd while giving his all. From original songs like their latest release Gardener to some iconic covers like APT. or a mashup of songs, the night felt like it shouldn’t end. Other members were equally amazing. The violinist O.M., the DJ and traditional Korean drums Han, the bassist N.N., the guitarist Liam, and the drummer Logan all added their own touch to the sound that makes CLOUDIAN what they are: an epic and cinematic rock band rooted in rock/metal but deliberately mixing lots of other colors. Indeed, we could find some orchestral and cinematic arrangements through the set. Even though this was their first time performing in Europe, they carried themselves like seasoned travelers: eager, grateful, but fully ready to prove themselves to the world and to their fans.

As the show pushed toward the finale, they ramped the energy back up with Cloudian from their first full-length album The Unknown Tale (2018), a song that defined their identity as a group, their core ambition and how they want to carry that grandeur into their music. It’s on that bittersweet but determined note that the show slowly ended with people jumping, shouting, and totally losing themselves in the moment.

For anyone in the room, this concert was a treat, and by the end of the night, CLOUDIAN left the stage to cheers that felt too big for the size of the venue.

If this show is any indicator of what the rest of their Europe tour will look like, CLOUDIAN is about to gain a lot more fans on this side of the world.
