Japanese metalcore band coldrain returned to the French capital for a sold-out night at Le Trabendo. With NOISEMAKER and REVNOIR opening the evening, the lineup offered a clean progression of energy before coldrain even stepped on stage.

NOISEMAKER were the first to perform, hitting the crowd with a sharp, energetic blend of alternative rock and nu-metal influences. Their set woke the room up fast, and their confidence on stage made it easy for newcomers to get pulled in. REVNOIR followed with a darker, heavier presence and a more intense atmosphere. By the time they finished, the venue felt fully warmed up and ready.

When the lights finally dimmed for coldrain, the reaction was immediate. They didn’t waste a second and went straight in with power. The crowd followed instantly. Masato’s vocals were exceptional throughout the night, switching effortlessly between clean singing and sharp screams. It’s already impressive on record, but live, it hits even harder. The rest of the band played with the kind of precision that only comes from years of touring. There was always movement, always a sense of connection.

The crowd gave everything right back. Hands were constantly in the air, voices loud, and the room moved as one, controlled just enough to not fall into total chaos. The atmosphere had that perfect balance of intensity and unity that makes a great rock show stand out. “Mayday” brought one of the loudest reactions of the night, while “Gone” shifted the mood into something more emotional, pulling everyone together for a few minutes of calm before the energy ramped back up. When the first notes of “Paradise” hit, it was clear the room had been waiting for that moment. Paris showed up for them, and coldrain acknowledged every second of it.

By the end of the concert, people were sweaty, tired, smiling, and still buzzing with energy. coldrain delivered a performance that was powerful, precise, and deeply engaging from start to finish, solidifying once again why their live reputation is as strong as it is. The night didn’t just live up to expectations, it exceeded them.
