Mom+Pop recording artists, the Award-winning Australian indie-rock band Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers drop their “slutty, drivey” new track ‘BATH WATER’ on April 1 and announce GLORY deluxe out on April 24.

GLORY deluxe is an extended version of their critically acclaimed sophomore album GLORY featuring two new songs – ‘BATH WATER’ and ‘GO WASTE MY TIME’ – and stripped back reworks of four fan favorite tracks ‘TALKING’, ‘DAYLIGHT’, ‘MINE’ and ‘WONDERFUL’. Produced by 3x GRAMMY Award-winning, London-based Catherine Marks (boygenius’ The Record, Wolf Alice), GLORY is an exploration of confidence, disgust, infatuation, and power set against widescreen indie-rock you can strut to, and earmarked Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers embracing a new, messy era.

The band says: “BATH WATER is a slutty, drivey, fun song about coming home from a night out. It’s about when you leave a bar and are actually really excited to hang out by yourself and enjoy your own company, in a Ke$ha way, though.”

The release of ‘BATH WATER’ comes at the end of a hugely successful Australia/NZ Laneway Festival run where they played to packed audiences at each stop, and ahead of their upcoming North American tour in the Fall. They will play headline shows down the East Coast, Warped Tour in Florida, and two very special shows with Jimmy Eat World on their highly anticipated Bleed American 25th Anniversary Tour. The tour also includes stops in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., among others.

These dates follow their return to the UK & Europe this August for their sold-out headline show in London with a second now on sale, plus their debuts at All Points East in London, Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, and Openair Gampel in Switzerland.

When released in Australia/NZ, GLORY originally debuted at #9 on the ARIA Albums and #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums Charts, with lead single ‘BALCONY’ landing at #61 on this year’s Hottest 100 and the album being awarded Feature Album on triple j among further support from BBC Radio 1, The Needle Drop, KEXP, SiriusXM, The Guardian (Headline Act), 10 Magazine Australia, Rolling Stone, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Sydney Morning Herald, frankie, Ones To Watch and Billboard, plus becoming one of Spotify’s RADAR artists with billboards in Melbourne, London, Seoul and New York, and cover placements on their major playlists, including All New Rock, Marrow, Rock Out, and New Music Friday in multiple countries.

ABOUT TEEN JESUS AND THE JEAN TEASERS

Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers – Anna Ryan (they/she; vocals/guitar), Scarlett McKahey (she/her; guitar/vocals), Jaida Stephenson (she/her; bass) and Neve van Boxsel (she/her; drums) – have gone from strength to strength since the release of their debut EP Pretty Good For A Girl Band (2022). Their debut album, I Love You (2023) debuted at #6 on the ARIA Charts, placed at #52 on the Hottest 100 (‘I Used To Be Fun’), with its deluxe I Love You Too following in 2024. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have since raked in a slew of accolades, including nominations and wins at the ARIA Awards, J Awards, APRA Awards, Rolling Stone Awards, AIR Awards, and Music ACT Awards. Now based across Ngunnawal/Canberra, and Naarm/Melbourne, they are just as concerned about issues facing today’s women, non-binary people, and young people everywhere as they are with making music that continues to push boundaries and expectations. Teen Jesus are ambassadors for Green Music’s No Music on a Dead Planet, played Rising Tide on Parliament House steps, contributed to the Parliament inquiry into challenges and opportunities within the Australian live music industry, and are firm supporters of Michael’s Rule. This is a band never to be pigeonholed, and definitely never underestimated.
