LA based Jessy Fury is a music artist I first encountered a couple of years ago on the big stage at the annual Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA) where he performed and also took home the best song award that evening for his song “The Other Boys”. That evening I found him quite good at holding on to a large audience with his high energy rock. The style is very rock and the tunes are catchy with his equally capable high energy band “The Sound”. He has a well seasoned stage presence and polish, impressive for a guy that’s only 30 years old. A look back at his roots reveals a grandfather with commercial music lineage in Canada along with his mother Stacia who was a singer herself and exposed Jessy early in his life to her own recording sessions. His father was a former NHL player which also enabled Jessy to receive a nice music education growing up. He has since done several recordings of his own. His latest EP “Hollywood Forever “ is catchy like his live shows and is masterfully produced with a quality of recording that invites the listener to crank it up!
For those who live in SoCal it’s worth getting out and seeing this guy perform. I’ve seen him and his band four times over the last couple of years and find his shows quite enjoyable.
