Last Thursday night at Starland Ballroom felt less like a concert and more like a full-blown emotional release. Emo Orchestra delivered exactly what the name promises—and then some—bringing together a massive collective of 20+ performers, including members of The Spill Canvas and Greywind, with a surprise appearance by Fred Mascherino that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Backed by a full arrangement of strings—violin, cello, flute—and led by a conductor, the group transformed classic emo anthems into something cinematic without losing their raw edge. The setlist was stacked with hits that had fans of all ages screaming every word, turning the room into one giant singalong.
They played two full sets, pouring everything into each note, yet somehow still left the crowd wanting more. It was the kind of night that reminds you why these songs stuck with you in the first place—loud, cathartic, and shared with a room full of people who felt it just as deeply. Hopefully this isn’t the last time Emo Orchestra takes over the stage, because nights like this are too good not to relive.
