NuMetal/Industrial Shock Rockers Amerakin Overdose release their first ever acoustic song today, a truly radio worthy track. “My Endless Battle”- featuring Jonny Santos (Spineshank/ Silent Civilian), who produced and performed on both the track and the video, is also the first, and likely only, video Amerakin Overdose will be releasing unmasked for performance. The single addresses mental health and suicide, no doubt inspired by frontman Cody Perez‘s journey of recovery and his embodiment of the motto “Never give up!”

Cody Perez unmasked, both physically and emotionally, reveals“‘My Endless Battle’ is putting the scars of life on display. You never know what someone is dealing with behind the surface. This song is for anyone who feels stuck, suffocating in that darkness, like it’s never going to end. No matter how bad it gets, there’s always a way through it. There’s always hope—and the sun will shine again.”

AMERAKIN OVERDOSE “My Endless Battle”

Music produced by Jonny Santos (Spineshank) and Nikolas Roy Quemtri

Video filmed and edited by Drumwell Media

Where do I go from here?

I scream but there’s no sound

It’s an ocean of despair

The ship has run aground

Take my hand, I’ll take you there

A darkness where nobody cares

I’m giving up on staying strong

I don’t know if I can hold on

The sun comes out today

Yet still I look away

Another day lost to an endless fight within myself

My world is turning gray

I hopelessly decay

My endless battle to remain

My endless battle to remain

Is there anybody there?

I see no signs of life

I’m reaching out, I can’t be found

I’ve been taken with the tide

Pushing you away from me

Is tearing me away from you

I’m feeling numb, I’m feeling done

I don’t know if I can hold on

The sun comes out today

Yet still I look away

Another day lost to an endless fight within myself

My world is turning gray

I hopelessly decay

My endless battle to remain

My endless battle to remain

Now the well of hope has dried

At least I know that I have tried

Have I lost my mind?

There is so much that you will never see

There’s so much I hold inside

But I tried so hard to fight

I won’t see another day

There’s no light

No the sun won’t shine again

So say goodbye

Someday you’ll know how hard I tried

The sun comes out today

Yet still I look away

Another day lost to an endless fight within myself

My world is turning gray

I hopelessly decay

I’ve lost the battle to remain

So say goodbye

I’ve lost the battle to remain

About Amerakin Overdose:

Amerakin Overdose is a genre-bending, mask-adorned industrial/nu-metal force rising out of Portland, Oregon. Renowned for their explosive live energy and visually immersive personas, the band delivers a relentless sonic assault built on crushing riffs, groove-driven rhythms, electronic textures, and powerful vocal dynamics. Drawing from influences like Korn, Slipknot, and Mudvayne, Amerakin Overdose transforms the chaos, corruption, and excess of modern culture into a theatrical, high-impact experience—each member embodying a character warped by vanity, greed, and societal decay.

Since their inception, Amerakin Overdose has released three full-length albums and established themselves as a must-see act, touring extensively across the United States. Their resume includes sharing stages with heavy hitters such as Korn, Godsmack, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, Chevelle, Shinedown, Lacuna Coil, Avatar, All That Remains, and Slaughter to Prevail. The band has also earned spots at major festivals including Rock Fest (Cadott, WI), Vans Warped Tour, The Gathering of the Juggalos, and Jamey Jasta’s Milwaukee Metalfest.

In July 2024, Amerakin Overdose released their highly anticipated third album, Artificial Infection, a record that pushed their sound into darker, more experimental territory. The band has since teamed up with Jonny Santos (Spineshank/Silent Civilian), who is producing their upcoming fourth album. March 2025 marked the release of their bold, genre-twisting cover and video for Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle,” followed by the crushing single “Point of No Return” in May and “Nothing (Without You)” featuring Jonny Santos in July.

In true Amerakin Overdose style, the shock rockers continued to push the boundaries and delivered some holiday cheer (or fear) with their November 28, 2025 single release “Feliz Navidad” produced by Jonny Santos (Spineshank/Silent Civilian) and co-produced by Nikolas Roy Quemtri.

The industrious team of Nu Metallers (Amerakin OverdoseSantos and Quemtri) kicked off 2026 with an explosive new single and video “Time Bomb” featuring guest vocals from Tauren Blackman, released January 23rd.

Amerakin Overdose‘s distinctive blend of metal, industrial, and performance art has attracted coverage from major media outlets such as RevolverAlternative PressLoudwireKnotfest, and The PRP, solidifying their standing as a formidable presence in modern heavy music.

Evolving with every release and pushing their vision further into the extreme, Amerakin Overdose continues to innovate, provoke, and challenge the boundaries of modern metal.
