As direct support to Black Veil Brides on this tour are From Ashes To New. Their explosive set was worthy of the main spotlight. Pure energy delivered to the crowd by everyone in the band. I always admired their utilization of two vocalists, while not novice (cue Linkin Park) but not overly common and many duets fall apart in time. Matt Brandyberry and Danny Case make a dreamteam. Of course, as always a treat to watch Lance Dowdle wearing an array of theatrical, stylized masks during live performances. The band from Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania used their time “reflecting” on the new album Reflections that they released in April this year, alongside with a few songs from their previous work Blackout from 2023. The lone “oldie” was a title song from their 2020 release Panic, chosen to be the closing song of the set.

From Ashes To New setlist: New Disease, Nightmare, Heartache, Drag Me, Villain, Barely Breathing (with Beth Hunter of As December Falls), Die for You and Panic.

Black Veil Brides came on the stage with a big bang – Knives and Pens, their groundbreaking debut single that defined the generation, and took the full control of the crowd from the first second. The “newcomer” Bleeders meshed nicely with other old school fan faves as Coffin and Rebel Love Song. All together the band allocated space on their setlist for five songs taken out of their “fresh off the press” album Vindicate. All that combined with their absolute heavy hitters like Faithless, The Legacy and Fallen Angels. If you have been to a larger number of BVB shows you know that it ends with In The End.

The stage was set in gothic mood, with many candle holders in the background of Andy, Jinxx, Jake and Lonny. As always CC was going bonkers somewhere there in the background, his long hair flying all over the place behind the drumset. Andy always keeps a conversation going with the fans between the songs and notices everyone in the crowd, let it be someone with a funny mask, a sign or some memorabilia. He knows how to make the bands shows not about them but rather about everyone in the venue.

Black Veil Brides setlist: Knives and Pens, Bleeders, Coffin, Rebel Love Song, Hallelujah, Faithless, Wake Up, Vindicate, Certainty, Beautiful Remains, Wretched And Divine, Revenger, Sweet Blasphemy (with Lilith Czar), The Legacy, Perfect Weapon, Lost It All, Fallen Angels and In The End.
