Muse is currently on their The WOW! Signal Tour supporting their tenth studio album. Tour has almost reached its peak. On July 22nd the band came to New Jersey to play at the PNC Bank Arts Center.

So, I have written quite a bit of Live Reviews from various shows that I had an opportunity to work on. You know, going through process of being approved, getting my gear ready, planning out the work, getting to the show, taking pics, taking notes, having a pint of beer, getting back processing the pictures, writing the stuff. It is a work, not all fun and games. This time I just went there with my family to have fun. However, coming back I thought, you know what, I’ll do a write up anyway. Just express myself as I always do. Just what I saw and what I felt (just no pics this time). Though I am including some videos, as I am not tied to any agreements, which is a sort of a benefit, huh.

This was my second time seeing the band live, the first one being back in 2019 in Philly during their Simulation Theory World Tour. Muse is no stranger for an elaborate stage set up, as it was true in 2019 with bunch of giant screens and giant inflatable monster, it was true now with black and red theme in everything, including their outfits, some moving screens in the background and some fire throwers for a good measure. Color choice seemed obvious, as to stay in line with a new releases color palette. I am not much of an artist but I believe the visual vibes were created in perfect harmony with the music.

The bands new album was represented with healthy five songs. Sometimes bands keep new material on a shorter side, but not Muse. You want to hear half of the album, here you go. Not much of a filler though, these songs represented all five official singles. For me Cryogen stood out the most as I heard it every single day on the Latvian radio station SWH Rock during my vacation in my homeland. It has qualities to stay on the setlist for all the Muses future shows.

All the heavy hitters where present. I am not going to recite all of them, please, see the unofficial setlist below, just to name a few crowd pleasers – Thought Contagion, Supermassive Black Hole, Madness and Time Is Running Out. As you can see from two videos here, that my all time favorite is Uprising. I am not the only one. The crowd went into the full karaoke mode during the first chorus.

There are not much particular details for me to point out, other than just stating with full confidence, that Muse puts up a show! The sound, the stage, interaction with fans, quality of the performance are at the highest level. Everyone from my family enjoyed the show. Nothing else is needed in life besides a good time with those dearest to you enjoying a good music and having fun.
