Summer is always about fun under the sun and even inside a building especially for the young teens and young adults and the young at heart. The Summer of 2026 started off with a Big Bang, celebrating people and diversity and music at two renowned music venues, ECHOPLEX and her sister THE ECHO, where The All Female Young Punk Band, THE LINDA LINDAS, headlined the night with a SOLD OUT SHOW for a music festival called “SCHOOL’S OUT, ICE OUT” benefitting CHIRLA on Sunday June 7, 2026.

“CHIRLA, or the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, is an organization focused on advocating for immigrant rights and social justice. Founded in 1986, it has grown to have a significant national impact, working to promote the rights of diverse immigrant communities.”
With all the changes and challenges happening in the United States of America, it was only fitting that this festival occurred, and the name of the Music festival, tells it all.
Angelenos came out strong in support of all 11 bands who performed at this music festival starting as early as 4pm and lasted all night long until after 11pm.
On the bill on this night were the following acts:
Each band performed at their finest, giving out lots of energy and love to the audience. Even members of The Linda Lindas were often seen on several occasions dancing and head banging and mosh pitting to the beat of each band before they got on stage themselves. The DJs spun some great tunes during the changeovers. Overall, it was a very fun and memorable evening where by the time I got downstairs from my photoshoot upstairs at The Echo, The Echoplex was filled up with a million fans where I was not able to place myself in the front since there is no photo pit at The Echoplex, but I was fortunate enough where I got a spot where I was able to stand up and raised my arms shooting their set without blocking anyone’s views because there was a pillar right behind me and I was able to lean up against the pillar and get some decent shots of THE LINDA LINDAS performance using a long lens. A great time was had by everyone who came to this music festival. One thing is for sure, Music brought everyone together on this night as one one big happy family. Great job THE LINDA LINDAS and all the bands.
