The Meffs vocalist and guitar player Lily made announcement that The Meffs will close out the third annual New Rock City International Music Festival that will take place in Chester, England from July 19th to July 20th. ABOUT THE MEFFS :
Since exploding onto the UK scene in 2019, The Meffs – aka Lily on vocals/guitar and Lewis on drums/backing vocals – have built up a reputation as purveyors of frantic punk bangers and an absolute must-see live sensation.
A performance at Frank Turner‘s Lost Evenings Festival was followed by the band hitting the studio with Turner to record, arguably, their best work yet. Pulling no punches as ever, Lily calls out societal inequality at every opportunity over a wall of hard-hitting melodies.
2022 saw The Meffs sign to Bottles to the Ground, imprint label of Fat Mike‘s Fat Wreck Chords. Described by Turner as “an absolute monster”, Broken Britain Pt.1 and Pt.2 are out now!
Following a multitude of festival appearances and sold-out shows across the UK, in 2023 the band embarked on their first tour of the UK: BROKEN BRITAIN TOUR and made their Download Festival debut.
If there was ever a time society needed this band to make some noise, it’s now, and don’t the people know it.
