Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Dave Matthews Band are in the midst of their 2025 Summer Tour and on a finally nice summertime day in New Jersey, they came to PNC Bank Arts Center Amphitheater in Holmdel. The place was sold out and buzzing in anticipation.

Dave Matthews Band started their summer tour already in the late spring on April 27th at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest and made another festival stop on May 4th at Lovin’ Life Festival, with their headlining shows starting litle while ago in Bethel, NY. Dave Matthews Band has no support artists on this run and they bring joy to their loyal fans with about two and a half hour performances.
Dave Matthews Band members are – Dave Matthews – lead vocals, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, keyboards, lead guitar; Stefan Lessard – bass;
Carter Beauford – drums, percussion, backing vocals; Rashawn Ross – trumpet, percussion, backing vocals; Jeff Coffin – saxophone, winds; Tim Reynolds – lead guitar and Buddy Strong – keyboards, backing vocals.
Before I write my own two cents about the performance, I must note, that my personal music preference hangs in the heavier side, and I have heard only a handful of the songs by the band. That being said – What a show !!!! Band proved their mettle of Roll Hall of Fame Inductees performing an amazing concert. Dave, Steffan and Carter are with their band since inception and their cohesion is super tight. Rashawn, Jeff and Tim did not miss a beat and the bands “newest” member Buddy Strong was excellent as well. Band created this nirvana like atmosphere of beautiful melody for their fans that filled the place to the capacity. I really liked how the band did not act like superstars and were rather just a humble musicians delivering the music to the people.
In October 19th of 2024, Dave Matthews Band was selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They attended the ceremony in Cleveland, being inducted by Julia Roberts.
Band played the songs spanning throughout their storied career. Just a little bigger emphasis tonight was placed on earlier works. While I saw only this show in New Jersey, I can see on their website that every night brings a different setlist, so if you are traveling with the band and going to all of their shows, you are in luck to witness it all.
