On Friday July 31, 2026 at the Fabulous Kia Forum, American Metalcore band, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE proved to everyone that hard work, dedication, and passion was the foundation for their first American Headline Tour in 3 years for their summer 2026, “The Sweat and Blood Tour.” Opening up for the band, the support acts included LORNA SHORE, FIT FOR A KING, and STATIC DRESS. It was a night of pure madness and mayhem and hard metal core music.

STATIC DRESS – 1st Support Act
Fitting the theme of metal core music night, STATIC DRESS, opened up as the first act of the evening. Based out of England, this post-hardcore band came in full of energy with lots of action coming from their lead vocalist, Olli Appleyard, who was often seen jumping up and down and screaming to the top of his lungs while singing melodically and hitting the notes on point and engaging with the fans all night long. Members of STATIC DRESS include Vincent Weight on Guitar, George Holding on Bass, and Sam Ogden on drums. Blending their unique style of melodic emo sounds with hardcore screamo sounds of metalcore music , STATIC DRESS cooked up a noteworthy performance that elevated the adrenalines of all the fans to the max, giving them a great status of a prominent force in today’s modern post-hardcore metal music that is worth hearing and seeing live on stage.

FIT FOR A KING – 2nd Support Act
All hail to the new Kings of Metalcore from Texas. Their aggressive and melodic metalcore sounds will fill the need in someone’s love of this type of music and genre. And there is no need to bow down to these Kings. According to their website, the band rallies around their bassist, Ryan “Tuck” O’ Leary who has endured a constant barrage of challenges and turbulence in life since the pandemic where they draw their music around real-life experiences. Their music is harmonious and hard at the same time filled with super sonic sounds of melodic screams of post-hardcore metal. The band consists of Bobby Lynge and Daniel Galley on guitars, Ryan Kirby on lead vocals, Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary on Bass, and Trey Celeya on drums. With various influences in music from such noteworthy bands like Linkin Park, A Day To Remember, The Plot In You, Crystal lake, the 1975, Paramore, and many others, this diversity of different sounds become the foundation of their own unique blend of style and sound which makes FIT FOR A KING a good fit for anyone who likes post-modern day metalcore music. Just like the 1st act, FIT FOR A KING did not disappoint on this night with their high flying non-stop action and energy on stage. LORNA SHORE – 3rd Support Act
When it comes to being mysterious, LORNA SHORE is on the top of my list. Not only did LORNA SHORE delivered a dark and strong stage presence, full of mystique where the stage was often dark filled with fog and red back lights, but their music is one helluva sound where one is immediately transfixed and hypnotized with their symphonic deathcore and heavy sounds while being sucked into a vortex of hellfire and storm. Lead vocalist, Will Ramos got onto the stage in some sort of a cloaked outfit where his face was hidden for the most part due to the hoodie and all the backlighting effects and the fog and with almost no lights hitting directly onto his face. This added the great drama of mystique to their music and performance. Along with Will Ramos the lead singer, LORNAS SHORE is teamed up with Adam De Micco on Lead Guitar, Austin Archey on Drums, Andrew O’Connor on Rhythm Guitar, and Michael Yager on bass. The band truly delivered a visually stunning experience to the naked eye, but extremely challenging to photograph as a music photographer due to the elements mentioned before. Despite those facts, the elements of fog, strong backlight, dim light or no light, and the notorious red lights that most music photographers hate, did not deter the experience of listening and seeing them LIVE on stage. Overall, LORNA SHORE is a great band to see and hear perform LIVE.

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE – THE HEADLINER
It was during the pandemic when I first discovered MOTIONLESS IN WHITE- The Deadstream II – Pennhurst Asylum. All the music venues were shut down as we all know. I just started my new venture in Photography and this time it was Music Photography. But immediately halted by COVID. So everything was being streamed by bands on YouTube. And MOTIONLESS IN WHITE was one of the ones I discovered during this time.
Their gothic, melodic-hardcore, dark, emotive emo-like presence and sounds were what drew me immediately to them. The Death Rock Kid in me was immediately excited when I discovered this band. And six years later, here I was at The Fabulous Kia Forum covering this great American Gothic-Metalcore band from Scranton Pennsylvania performing LIVE on stage.
Once the lights were dimmed, an intro music was played. “Wait…what…EDM music is being played and a picture of a cat on stage. WOW!” I said. “This is gonna be FIRE A.F.”
As they all slowly got on the stage, the crowd got excited and screamed to the top of their lungs. With Painted faces and masks and inks, their dark gothic look followed the same style from when I first discovered them in 2020. And then Chris “Motionless” Cerulli shouted, “LOS ANGELES!!! LET ME FüççK!nG HEAR YOU!” And the crowd went more wild.
Playing the first note all the way to the very end, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE was non-stop in full MOTION and evocative EMOTION mode. MIW mode was turned on. Goth Metalcore/Industrial Metal was activated and was never turned off. The “VOICES” IN MY HEAD were deafening and for a minute I was in fan mode, but had to deactivate it and immediately got into my professional shooting mode. Only after the 3rd song and got to my seat that I got into my fan mode.
Filled with teen angst but far from being a teenager full of “F” Bombs whenever he interacts with his fans, Chris “Motionless” Cerulli’s voice (the only remaining original member) was/is intoxicating. Many times during the performance, Chris would yell “OPEN UP THAT FüççK!nG PIT AND LOSE CONTROL OF YOURSELF. And fans obliged to his request as there was a circle mosh pit that was activated and never got deactivated. Not only are you drawn by Chris’ leadership skills, but more importantly, you are drawn by his beautiful voice and his hypnotic stares and screamos. Chris is teamed up with the artistic skills of current members of the band, Ryan Sitkowski on Lead Guitar, Ricky “Horror” Olsen on Rhythm Guitar, Vinny Mauro on drums, and Justin Morrow on Bass. The band’s powerful performance and presence blew the roof out of The Fabulous Kia Forum.
For me the most memorable moment was when Chris belted out loud, “LA!!! So far we’ve given you 2 songs from the latest album. I need you to be loud for Skylar Grey,” as she glided ever so elegantly on stage with Chris as they performed a duet of one of MIW’s latest single release called “R.I.P.” What a beautiful moment this was.

A night of memorable moments and music and mayhem and fun. MOTIONLESS IN WHITE is constantly in motion of creating great music. This is one band that has stood the test of time. They keep redefining new ways in creating great music while staying true to their genre. An amazing performance by an amazing band. Can’t wait for the next tour.
